Cedric James is a Seattle native with strong ties to the community. He is a graduate of Washington State University in Pullman with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Advertising. Cedric James is basically a music junkie. From rock to Jazz, pop to Opera, Cedric's taste in music is wide and varied. Growing up in the town that Quincy Jones, Jimi Hendrix and the Wilson sisters put on the map influenced his ear for great music. Cedric's radio career has established him in Seattle as a knowledgeable jazz authority. His longevity on the Seattle airwaves has provided the opportunity to forge friendships with many of the contemporary jazz greats on the scene, especially in the smooth Jazz genre.
