February 2 - The Songs of Love Foundation has released Jason Mraz's song "Love Is All Around (Quote Christian)" that he recorded specifically for 13-year-old cancer patient Christian Burns. This is the Foundation's 20,000th song of love and was released online on February 1.
The Songs of Love Foundation provides personalized songs for seriously ill children and teens, free of charge. "Love Is All Around (Quote Christian)" was written by Jason Mraz, Michael Natter and Nancy Natter. Jason recorded the lead vocals and the background vocals were recorded by Voices of Prayze.
John Beltzer, founder of the Songs of Love Foundation, says, "I believe that there is no stronger way to bring smiles to the faces of sick children than to honor them in their very own song. Children typically tend to play the CD's over and over again: they cannot believe they hear their own names and all the things they like mentioned in the songs."
