January 31 - At the 2010 Grammy Awards today, Jason Mraz won his first Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the single 'Make it Mine,' featured on his third studio album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.
Jason Mraz along with Colbie Caillat also won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for their duet "Lucky". The song is also featured on Mraz's third studio album.
Unfortunately, Mraz was not there to accept either award. These awards were given out at the 2010 Grammy Pre-show held in the afternoon just before the big Grammy show aired on CBS. The Grammy Pre-show is not televised.
Colbie Caillat was there to accept the Grammy for her duet with Mraz on "Lucky." This is her first Grammy award. She explained that she and Jason wrote the song together over e-mail without having met each other at the time. Watch her acceptance speech below.
Jason Mraz did attend the televised Grammy show later in the evening. He was accompanied by his dad, Thomas Mraz.
