March 26 - While most people think Jason Mraz's hit song "I'm Yours" is a love song about people, The Nature Conservancy interprets the song in a whole new way relating to the environment. The environmental agency has released a new PSA featuring Mraz's song "I'm Yours" just as the singer has been blogging about clean water this week.
On Wednesday, Mraz wrote about the UNICEF Tap Project, a campaign raising funds to provide clean water and sanitation around the world. Mraz writes: "Can you imagine not having access to clean drinking water, or clean water to bathe with, wash with or even cook with?... Nearly 900 million people in the world do not have access to safe, clean water — and nearly half of those people are children. This is a stark reality."
Meanwhile, letting his music send a message, Mraz has teamed up with The Nature Conservancy to create a PSA to raise awareness about the non-profit organization's efforts to protect the earth. Lyrics like "I tried to be chill, but you're so hot that I melted, I fell right through the cracks" can now be viewed as a warning about the melting of the polar ice caps.
"But I won't hesitate no more, no more, it cannot wait..." can also be interpreted as a call to everyone to help save our planet.

This creative use of "I'm Yours" is yet another way Jason Mraz expresses his environmental activism. In September 2009, Mraz went surfing for charity in an effort to raise funds for the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the world's oceans, waves and beaches. In November, he was one of the celebrities featured in a PSA for the "We're Ready" campaign sponsored by Environment America relating to global warming.

I love this video! Thanks for writing about it.
So cool, I love the video, idea, theme, song and especially the way which highlighted the very very important issue of dying nature.. well done brilliant effort. I want to do something in my country for safe and pure water and sewerage system. We have so poor progress in this regard. Once again, well done.
