Jason Mraz participated in two live online chats on November 11 with his fans that were broadcast both on Ustream and Facebook. Both live chats were done from Mraz's home in San Diego. In the earlier session, Mraz wore a large headband around his head to cover his messy hair. In the later session, Mraz wore a baseball hat.
Each session lasted about 30 minutes and was filled with Jason performing impromptu acoustic versions of his songs as well as answering questions sent in by fans. Mraz, who will be touring in South America during the second half of November, revealed that in mid-December he will begin working on his next studio album which he expects to come out sometime in 2010. He even pointed to the separate small white building on his property which houses his own personal recording studio.
Mraz also gave fans a glimpse into his home pointing out pictures and paintings on the walls (see video below). He took fans down to the basement to show where his painting and photography room, where he is currently sanding the floors, will be. He also introduced his fans to his cat, Holmes.
Mraz, an avid surfer, revealed his favorite surfing spot was in Costa Rica. He also performed a cover of the song "How Deep Is Your Love" by the Bee Gees.
Mraz will appear on the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien on Thursday, November 12, to promote his new live CD/DVD release, Beautiful Mess - Live from Earth.
