Jason Mraz 101: The evolution of 'I'm Yours' (video)

Jason Mraz's smash hit single "I'm Yours" was officially released on Mraz's third studio album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things in 2008. However, "I'm Yours" had been a fan favorite long before that.

"I'm Yours" was originally released as a demo in 2005 on a limited edition EP called Extra Credit that came out when Mraz's second studio album, Mr. A-Z, was released.

Mraz used to sing "I'm Yours" at his live shows in 2005 and 2006. When he was touring Europe in 2007, he was surprised to discover how popular the song had become.

In 2009, Jason Mraz was nominated for three Grammys including Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and Song of the Year for "I'm Yours".  In February, "I'm Yours" became the first track ever to top the charts for Adult Contemporary, Hot Adult Contemporary, Top 40 and Triple A Radio, and now ranks as one of the Top 5 biggest-selling digital tracks of all time.

The "I'm Yours" single has been on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for 66 weeks now, making it one of the longest charting songs ever. The only song ahead of "I'm Yours" is "How Do I Live" by Leann Rimes at 69 weeks. If this chart success continues, it will become the longest-running song in Hot 100 history.

A new digital EP has just been released called "Yours Truly: The I'm Yours Collection" featuring four different versions of the hit song.
