Last week, the popular Japanese duo, KinKi Kids debuted their new single Swan Song at #1 for Oct.27, 2009. With this hit single they extended their world record of #1 consecutive singles to 29.
Despite the last week's speculation of the Domoto's disbandment due to individual successes for both of its members and the title of their current single, it appears that this event is far from occurring. With more tour dates announced, the Kansai-born duo are far from breaking up as a team which should assail fans' fears.
This past week Swan Song sold 160,407 copies.
Other artists with new releases in the top 10 of the Oricon Weekly are UVERWORLD, Nana Mizuki, Morning Musume and Boa.
