Video: Diana Ross dedicates tour to Michael Jackson; King of Pop's 3 children at LA concert

Michael Jackson -- AP

Legendary performer Diana Ross is touring this year, and while the one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death is rapidly approaching on June 25th, the singer has dedicated the tour to the King of Pop. According to a new report, Jackson's three children were present at Ross' concert Wednesday night at the Nokia theatre.

Radar Online reports Ross saying during the concert: "I’m dedicating my tour this year to my dear friend Michael Jackson. His children are in the audience."

The children were seating "secretly in the crowd."

Also according to the report, Barry Gordy, founder of Motown records was there.

Ross reportedly sang "Missing You," and dedicated it to Michael Jackson, as well as his very own song, "You Are Not Alone."

Wow! Thanks for sharing this. That was so touching.

    I can't believe it's been one year.

She can use his name to promote her tour but not attend his memorial or funeral.

I don't think she's using his name to promote her tour and it's not a big deal that she didn't attend his memorial. People deal with loss in different ways, she preferred to mourn in private. It's how she treated him when he was alive that matters and I know they had a special relationship.

Karin, You obviously are very young and don't have an ounce of sense. Diana Ross was already a huge star before the J5 even existed. And it was she and the others at Motown that helped catapult the J5 to superstardom. Diana and Michael shared a very special bond both on and off stage. Her heart was broken over the loss of MJ. So what if she didnt' attend the funeral service? She did go to see his family and has remained close with them for 40 years. Diana you are an incredible woman and a great inspiration for us all. I love you very much! God bless. :)

Exactly Karin, she couldn't attend his memorial or funeral yet she could attend her son's party! LOL

to MJlover, Diana used to be big in my grandma's generation but now she's just a has been. what a better way to promote her tour than using Michael Jackson's name?

I wonder if MJ's kids feel strange that they've never seen all these people who called their father dear friend when he was alive!

Diana and Michael were incredibly close. Their bond was private and unique.
As a fan, there's a limit to what we know. The publicity around Michael's death wasn't a platform for her real sadness. If she would have attended it would have been for the fans. In private it was for Michael. I saw her tribute, it was very heartfelt. I'm hoping Michael's fans realize her sincerity.

Susan and Karin are obviously star obsessed and believe that the only way stars can observe a loved one's death is publicly. They are not aware that Diana WAS very thoughtful of Michael's death by not attending. The media would have taken the focus away from Michael and onto Diana (since she was mentioned as Michael's choice - not Elizabeth Taylor, not Liza...Diana). History has blamed Diana from taking the focus away from Florence Ballard's death when she attended her funeral and it affected her. She, and I'm sure Michael's family didn't want that circus to happen again. Diana gave her respect to Michael, privitely, and didn't have to parade it in front of the camera. This is the first time she is pubicly acknowledging his passing and she's handling it beautifully and Michael's kids approve since they attended the concert. Why you two want to be gossip girls is shameful. Maybe you both think she should have her picture taken with Michael's kid for the tabloids to show she cares?

The immaturity of so-called fans of Michael Jackson is a little bewildering. Posters Karin and MJFan are taking shots at Diana when no one, I mean no one knows the depth of their relationship.....but Diana and Michael. Unfortunately, Michael is not with us. In their ridiculous post, they somehow cannot see the difference in someone's mourning and someone attending someone's birthday. Mourning is a very personal experience, but, these two neanderthals wouldn't be able to decipher the difference. I suggest Karin and MJPost go sit in the corner and listen to "Dirty Diana"....I am sure it will underscore their sick and dark thoughts in their murky braincells.

Joe's age and relationship with his son is irrelevant, the point of having to find out what happened and how much the Estate is making is to assure the right amount of money is allotted to the kids and Katherine. Nothing is being disclosed by the Executors and someone is protecting Murray Part of the money the Estate is making is supposed to go to Michael's children.

Branca has a history of embezzling money from Michael, the Executors will rape and pillage Michael's music, image and name with no opportunity for the children to have a say in what they will do with their Daddy's legacy. So how can the Jackson family know the children are getting the right amount of money when the Estate Executors are not letting anyone know the amount made since Michael's death!

Thank goodness Joe Jackson is speaking out about the greed and abuse of Michael's career. Katherine's hands are tied she cannot contest or protest. There's valid reasons why Joe is pushing for justice and for the Exe

Some people are so deluded ,they think they know these celebrities , what and how they feel, what they think, their relationships etc. Pathetic.

I love Diana more today than yesterday. She has helped out MJ's children by paying for their education and is obviously a good influence on her 5 beautiful children. Diana's children are also very close to MJ's kids. I was at the concert and saw their interaction for my own two eyes. Diana didn't attend the ceremony because she is smart! She learned from previous experience that if she were to show her emotions to the world at the memorial, people would just accuse her of trying to steal the spotlight for herself.
