Michael Jackson's 1983 music video for Thriller has been officially inducted for preservation in the 2009 National
Film Registry of the Library of Congress.
It's the first music video in history to be bestowed the honor!
Coordinator Steve Leggett explains the National Film Preservation Board's choice: "Because of the way the recording industry is evolving and changing, we thought it would be good to go back to
the development of an earlier seismic shift, which was the development of the music video."
Congratulations to the late King of Pop!
