This classic digestivo is divine for me on ice (or even straight up); however it is not something I expected to see on tap in a bar. However times are changing and wine on tap has become all the rage, so why not Fernet?
It makes sense that I first witnessed this trend in my hometown of San Francisco. It is one of the most Fernet-focused towns in the world. In all due respect to you, dear readers, I tried to find a few other places in the country that carry it on tap, but the first dozen listings I found focus on San Francisco.
The bulk of them mention Bullitt on Polk St where I had to stop in and take a picture. Maker's is also on tap, by the way. A woman at the bar mentioned that compared to the Fernet, is gets no attention.
So since it doesn't need to aerate like wine, let us enjoy the Fernet on tap.
