Ambra (meaning “Amber”) lives in my home town of Viareggio in Tuscany with her wonderful husband Renato and two hansdsome sons, Francesco and Federico. Ambra works for the Tuscan Agency for Tourism in Viareggio and has worked in the tourist industry all of her adult life.

Ambra’s family immigrated to San Francisco from Tuscany when she was 8 years old. Ambra spent about 10 years in the United States. She definitely ‘left her heart in San Francisco’ and continues to keep up with U.S. news, reads English books and still loves rock concerts.

Ambra and Renato love to entertain and are great cooks. She has generously shared some unusual and delicious recipes with me from our home province in Tuscany.
