Ann Arbor Palestine film festival rears up

http://a2palestinefilmfest.org/films.html

The second Ann Arbor Palestine Film Festival will be taking place next week, March 10th-13th, with opening night on Wednesday March 10th, at the historic Michigan Theatre!

You won't want to miss out on screenings for the only Palestine film festival in all of Michigan.

Still haven't seen the program line up? Check it out here!  Additionally, it is possible to view information on all of the films and directors, as well as showtimes and venues at the same link.

Going by the enthusiasm and numbers from last year, movie goers this year should avoid the lines by purchasing tickets beforehand.  There is also the potential for sold-out screenings so do make haste in getting your tickets.

For more information view the facebook events page for opening night, and for the rest of the festival.

Reasons to participate in the annual Palestine Film Festival:

  • Opportunities to meet and talk with real directors
  • Meet new people who are interested in films and social justice
  • Gain a better perspective on the lives of Muslims and Arabs in America (see 'Amreeka' film)
  • Gain awareness about the plight of Palestinians abroad
  • Kick back in the historic Michigan Theatre in downtown Ann Arbor
  • Eat popcorn!

Any questions about the festival, contact these two: info@a2palestinefilmfest.org or hena@a2palestinefilmfest.org

Readers may remember Hena from the Q&A two part series done on her film studies and activities.  The UM graduate is back again to help make the Palestine Film Festival another success!
