Looks like video game publishers are finally seeing how valuable the hip-hop audience is. With the battle over the best DJ game (DJ Hero vs. Scratch: The Ultimate DJ), mobile game publisher I-Play is heading straight to your iPhones and iPod Touches with theirs. The company just announced the September release of Hip-Hop All Star, a DJing game for iPhones and iPod touches that features new music from the likes of Kool G Rap, Slim Thug, and Busta Rhymes.
"Hip Hop All Star is the most authentic DJ'ing experience you can get in a game," said DJ Green Lantern who also contributes to the game. "And be sure to check out the iPhone to iPhone DJ battles, and lay down a beat on your opponent anywhere, anytime."
"Hip Hop All Star is the hip hop lover's DJ game," added Don Ryan, chief operating officer at Oberon Media. "We think this will set the bar high as the first hip hop DJ game to hit the market, offering top -tier talent on a portable platform."
The multiplayer options allows you to battle your friends through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and also share high scores with the game's Facebook connect feature. You will also be able to download new songs after you beat the initial 12. For now, here's the tracklist and the trailer for the game:
