It is almost winter in Chicago as you can tell from that bite in the crisp air. Do not let that wind keep you indoors, though! The cold months are a great time to get out, see the city, and do things you would not necessarily do in the summer. Ice skating at Millennium Park
This is always a fan favorite in the winter months. Starting Friday, you can ice skate at Millennium Park for free (skate rental is $10). Skating along Michigan Avenue is one of the things that makes Chicago winters not only bearable, but enjoyable. Grab a group of your friends and head out there!
Chicago Wolves hockey
Check out a Chicago Wolves hockey game with your friends or family. Not only are the games affordable and fun, but even the ladies will enjoy the eye candy! Girls, grab your man and head to the Allstate Arena and he will be sure to thank you later. Or, get a group of friends together for some cold weather fun. Sports events are always fun and conducive to reconnecting with those drifting friends or strengthening those close relationships in your life.
Warm up at Hot Chocolate
If you are too cold and need to warm up, check out Hot Chocolate. Chef Mindy is known for her decadent desserts and array of hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows. In addition, she offers an incredible brunch, lunch, and dinner menu. If you have yet to stop in here, make sure do this winter! It truly is an incredible culinary experience.
Brews and board games
Cold nights often make you want to stay indoors, but if you happen to be in the Lakeview area, get that same feeling at Guthrie's Tavern where you can enjoys brews and board games.
