Internet Marketing Strategy- Part 1

Online Marketing Game Plan - Before you approach an SEO specialist or Web Developer you might want to consider a few items regarding your online business.

  • What type of message do you want to convey to your online audience? What do you want to be known or remembered for?
  • If you are selling products on the internet, make sure you have some niche products and/or special services/added value that the 'other guy' doesn't have/do.
  • Know your competition. Find 2-3 other companies that offer products/services similar to you and see where they fall short and work with your web / seo specialist to focus on thier weak areas and make them your strengths.

Email Marketing: Make sure you add a newsletter sign up on the front page(or every page) of your site. This way you can keep clients abreast of new offerings and give them helpful advice / tidbits while promoting your products & services to them.

Blog Marketing: Add a Blog on your site. You can name it a blog or name it something specific like " Widgets Technology" or "Widgets Research News" (if your'e not selling widgets, which I am sure you are not, change that to your product name). Make sure to add posts often and add lost of keyword rich content to help the search engine find you. If you are not sure what that means, consult your web developer ot the link below to get more specifics.

The main thing I suggest is unless you are working with and SEO / Web Specialist than try and tackle just one marketing strategy at a time and build your way up. One thing done right is better than 3-5 done halfway or left incomplete. The important thing is that you start, no matter how small.
