Yesterday, Brittany Murphy, accomplished actress from hits such as 8-Mile, Girl Interrupted and Clueless died of cardiac arrest. Paramedics performed CPR but were ineffective in reviving her. In lieu of the recent hoaxes of celebrity deaths, we were all leary of this, but then several well known movie, tv and social personalities tweeted their thoughts, sadness and remorse.

As you can see from the following, several friends, colleagues and celebrities had kind words to say about the beautiful and talented Brittany Murphy.

Ashton Kutcher had this tweet in her memory. "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon. see you on the other side kid." (aplusk)

Soleil Moon Frye (a.k.a Punky Brewster) tweeted "RIP sweet Brittany. I will never forget the beautiful school girl you were and woman you became." (moonfrye)

John McCain's daughter Megan also tweeted about Murphy's death. "something about Brittany Murphy's death is so unbelievably tragic, she was gorgeous, talented and only 32. fame can really eat people up and spit them out. and it seems particularly harsh towards women. RIP, so sad :-(" (mccainblogette)

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton who is known for various types of tweets and comments showed his softer side with; "Hollywood loses another bright soul....how many more? A decade of decadence and devastation. Time to wake up." (perezhilton)

Lastly, you need to know that even regular citizens had kind words to say
