BacTrack Breathalyzers, by KHN Solutions in California are the portable and affordable way for citizens as well as school systems and small businesses and police departments to protect those that are on the road, and get the impaired off the road.
There are ads overlooking many highways; "Over the Limit, Under Arrest". The legal limit in most states is .08 for both an arrest and charges to be filed. In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, that is the legal limit. If you blow a .06, you can still be charged, but may be released. Under .06, you can be released.
So why have your own handheld Breathalyzer ?
- Employee Testing
- Testing of Students or Children
- Personal Testing
Why the BacTrack S75 Pro ?
- In 2004, KHN Solutions was the first company to ever receive U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance to market breath alcohol testers to consumers for personal use
- Xtend Fuel Cell Sensor Technology - provides enhanced linear accuracy from 0.000 - 0.400
- Sensor accuracy equal to +/- 0.005 at 0.1% B.A.C. And includes Xtend electro-chemical fuel-cell technology
The technology of these handheld devices are said to be as good and as accurate as the portable devices in our nations law enforcement cruisers and vehicles.
The testing simple and needed to answer a single question. Impaired or Not Impaired ? Setup was a snap (literally). The two included batteries were snapped in, and the mouth piece was snapped in. That was the set up.
The testing was tri fold; before alcohol, after alcohol and also after mouth rinsing with a generic mint mouth wash.
Before having any alcohol and simply drinking water and soda, the BACTrack registered a perfect 0.00. A second test volunteer was brought in for the alcohol portion of the testing. The subject added one ounce of 80 proof rum to 12 ounces of cola. After 20 minutes, the tester read 0.05. At the 35 minute mark and finally finishing the drink, the reading was 0.08 which in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is legally drunk. The third test was done by the original test volunteer, and incorporated a simple gargling of the mouth with a generic mint mouth wash. With out rinsing with water, the volunteer blew into the device and registered a 0.50 which in reality would have meant sure death.
The accuracy of this hand held device is amazing given its size and less than $150 price tag (MSRP $199). Whether you are a parent, an employer or even a law enforcement, you owe it to your self, your company or community to check this out. You can get a great deal at Amazon.com.

Comments
The cheap breathalyzers marketed on internet and in pharmacies and mass merchant are positively misleading for consumers. They are mass produced imports that use an inferior technology called "semiconductor technology." This technology is inexpensive, inaccurate and inconsistent from test to test. With breathalyzers you get what you pay for.
