Golf Los Cabos, Mexico style

So many golfers long to play the legendary courses: Pinehurst; St Andrews; Pebble Beach. But how many think about Mexico when they pick up their sticks?

With over 10 championship golf courses and several more currently in development, it is no wonder that Los Cabos, Mexico, draws golf lovers from around the world annually. An array of courses throughout the destination are designed by golf legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Tom Fazio and many others, who have recognized the potential and significance of the thriving golf scene in Los Cabos. The beautiful hotels and resorts have also recognized the importance of golf in their guests' vacation plans and have incorporated this favorite pastime into their incredible travel packages and promotions.

The following Los Cabos hotels and resorts are currently offering packages featuring complimentary rounds of golf or golf related amenities from now through the end of the year:

Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa, located in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, offers guests the ultimate in leisure travel with the "Spa & Golf Package." This package features accommodations in a beautiful ocean view Junior Suite for a minimum of three-nights and includes a daily breakfast buffet at Maydan Restaurant for two, one round of golf at Cabo Real Golf Course, two special golf massages, three-day car rental through Budget Rental Car not inclusive of insurance or gas, free access to the fully equipped fitness center and complimentary use of the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi at the Saltwater Spa. In addition to the complimentary round of golf, guests will also have access to the Pro Shop, club rentals, putting green and a golf instructor who is available for lessons.

The Crowne Plaza Los Cabos Grand Faro All-Inclusive Resort offers travelers the classic "Golf Package" which includes four days and 3 nights of all inclusive accommodations in a fabulous Plaza Tower Ocean View guestroom and two 18-hole rounds of golf, per person. Package ranges in price dependant on dates of travel and is based on double occupancy. Guests who book from now through October 17, 2009 can enjoy the Golf Package at $622 per golfer, with additional nights available for $235 per room, per night. For travel from October 18 to December 19, 2009, package price is $743 per golfer, with additional nights available for $245 per room, per night.

The Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf & Spa Resort is aptly named. It offers golfers the chance to play on a championship course of their choice. The Dreams Los Cabos "Golf Package" invites guests to enjoy a luxury one bedroom suite plus one free round of golf at either the renowned Cabo Real or celebrated Club Campestre Golf Course. Round of golf includes transportation to and from the course as well as a golf cart. Golf reservations must be made directly with the hotel concierge. Package price is $264 per person, per night and requires a minimum three-night stay, inclusive of all meals and beverages.

The Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort is located on the world-class Cabo del Sol development and offers the incredible "Unlimited Golf Package." Golfers are invited to play unlimited rounds of their beloved sport at two of the best golf courses in the destination, Cabo del Sol Ocean & Desert courses. Green fees, golf cart, practice range and other amenities are included.  After a round of golf, guests are chauffeured back to the resort to be pampered with indulgent amenities such as two signature welcome drinks upon arrival, free entry to the fitness center, sauna and steam room at the SOMMA WineSPA, access to the exclusive Concierge Lounge with daily breakfast buffet, complimentary international cocktails and appetizers from 5-8pm and access to the VIP pool and beach club with concierge service. Additionally, guests will enjoy luxurious accommodations in a Grand Club ocean view room. This package begins at $298 per night for travel booked from now through October 4, 2009. From October 5 through December 17, 2009 package rate is $320 per nigh. Package must be booked for a minimum four-day/three-night stay.

The Marquis Los Cabos, A Resort for All Senses is offering golf lovers the ultimate golf vacation experience with the "Sense of Golf" package. This unique program begins from the moment travelers arrive in Los Cabos, with VIP transportation from the airport to the Marquis Los Cabos. The experience continues in a tastefully decorated Junior Suite or Private Pool Casita with ocean front view. For golfers, this package includes four rounds of golf per stay at Latin America's finest 36-hole golf facility, Cabo Del Sol. Additionally, the package includes a Marquis Los Cabos Signature Welcome Drink upon arrival, daily buffet breakfast for two at Vista Ballenas Restaurant, one dinner for two at any of the resort's restaurants including Suite Service and a special golf gift. From now through October 10, 2009, package rate is $625 per person, per night and $790 per person, per night for a Private Pool Casita. From October 11 through December 18, 2009, package price for a Junior Suite goes up to $670 per person, per night and $860 per person, per night for a Private Pool Casita. All rates include taxes and service charge and are based on double occupancy. A minimum three-night stay is required.

Guests can now enjoy a $400 resort credit valid towards dining spa or golf and two complimentary rounds of golf with a four-night stay from now through December 17, 2009. Golf bookings must be made before October 16, 2009. This offer also includes daily complimentary continental breakfast for two. Rates begin at $525 per night plus taxes and service charge. Black out dates do apply.

The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort & Spa Los Cabos in conjunction with Cabo Golf Tours are currently offering two fantastic golf packages for travelers planning a trip to Los Cabos. "Package One" offers a seven-night stay at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar including five days of golf at the following courses - Cabo del Sol Ocean Course, Cabo Real, Club Campestre and Puerto Los Cabos. Golf includes shared cart, range balls and bottles of water for golfers. This package additionally features daily complimentary breakfast, transportation to Cabo del Sol golf course and roundtrip airport transfers. Package rate begins at $1,775 per person including taxes and service charge for a Garden View room based on double occupancy. For those looking for a quick getaway, "Package Two" offers a four-night stay with three days of golf at Cabo Del Sol Ocean Course, Cabo Real and Club Campestre, and includes the same amenities listed above. Package Two rate begins at $1,195 per person including taxes and service charge for a Garden View room based on double occupancy. Both packages are valid for travel to Los Cabos from October 15 to December 20, 2009.
