The French national basketball team will have to compete in the 2010 FIBA World Championship without the services of Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah.

France is expected to undergo a more difficult time competing against several strong international teams including USA, Brazil, Turkey, Spain, Greece, Argentina, Australia, and China.

Noah has been trying to get a contract in place with the Chicago Bulls.

Instead of waiting on a resolution on the ongoing negotiations, French coach Vincent Collet ruled out Noah for the tournament.

France will enter the tournament with Les Bleus as its best big man, with Florent Pietrus, former French League MVP Alain Koffi, reigning French League MVP Ali Traore and Maverick prospect Ian Mahinmi, not to mention team captain Boris Diaw.

An important missing piece, however, is San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker who also will not play for France.
