Sarah Palin for president in 2012

As nutty as the prospect might sound to the majority of intelligent Americans, Sarah Palin's footsoldiers envision her as our country's next leader..  They line up at Costcos across the country for her book signings, dedicating themselves to doing anything to help Palin win the Republican nomination.

Palin's book, Going Rogue, has held onto the #1 stop on the New York Times Best Sellers since its release a few weeks ago, although it is filled with lies and factual inaccuracies. In fact, some members of the media are questioning whether or not  the book really belongs in the nonfiction section.  There are even reports floating about that conservative-leaning churches are buying the book in bulk and distributing it to its parishioners .

Lynn Giese, 57, of Oklahoma told 365gay.com she would "do anything and go anywhere" for Palin at a book signing.  Kayla Hogue, a 20-year old student came to the same event sporting a button melding a photo of Palin and Ronald Reagan. And Bob Rutz, 78, first in line at Palin’s book signing a day earlier in Springfield, Mo., said, “I’m hoping she’ll be drafted (to run).”

In Fayetteville, hundreds of people, including some wearing t-shirts saying, "Palintologist" formed a line snaking around the block, in frigid temperatures, just to get a glimpse of the former VP candidate and disgraced Governor of Alaska.

Of course, if Palin does run, it will be on a platform of fearing President Obama and his Commie-leftist agenda.  She was the person who created the erroneous and ridiculous idea that "death panels" would be created by the president's health care reform plan, simply because he wanted to add a provision for end-of-life counseling.

Palin, along with ulra-conservative commentators like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, have created a culture of paranoia not seen since the McCarthy era in the United States.  Sarah's also a "birther" - she played into the anti-Obama paranoia on a radio show Thursday, telling host Rusty Humphries that voters “rightfully” have questions about the legitimacy of Obama’s birth certificate. The so-called birther conspiracy around Obama’s U.S. citizenship has been widely discredited, and state health officials in Hawaii have repeatedly confirmed that the president was born there in 1961.

in a wide-open Republican field with no obvious front-runner, Palin is better known and excites much bigger crowds than others eying a run, including vehemently anti-gay Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who's a devout Mormon.   Mike Huckabee saw his presidential prospects diminish this week after a man whose life imprisonment sentence Huckabee commuted nine years ago as Governor of Arkansas fatally shot four police officers and before being shot himself in Washington state.

Republican pollster John McLaughlin said negative impressions generated during her stint as John McCain’s 2008 running mate could hurt her chances as a presidential contender. Remember the Tina Fey impressions on SNL, the $100K + wardrobe debacle, and allegations from Levi Johnston that Palin repeatedly tried to get him and daughter Bristol to pass off their baby as her own?).  And of course,  that fatal Katie Courtic intervew during which Palin could not name a major news outlet she watches or reads, she thought Africa was a country,  and she said could see Russia from her house.

“There are some inside the Republican Party who think she’s too conservative and not up to the job,” McLaughlin said.  Read that as, "she's a dumb tight ass."

Even some of Palin’s strongest supporters don’t  see her as a likely 2012 contender.

“Do I think she’s presidential material? Um …” said Sandy Adrian, 38, at the Fayetteville book signing, pivoting one hand in a gesture of ambivalence, even though three copies of Palin’s book were stacked in her shopping cart.

But, Adrian added, “you don’t have to be president to change the world.”

Sarah Palin's world?  Count me out.

It is coming to light that She is not really pro-life as many of us were led to believe. We have time to look for another candidate with the right convictions and track record of standup decisions under fire

Sarah is smarter then she is given credit for. She did not have plans to run but her fans pushed by the media are trying to force
her hat into the arena. I hope she resists the temptation and keeps on doing what she is doing, and not because I don't think she is capable, because I think she is effective doing it her way. Most liberals and Rhinos fear her because she can galvanize the conservative base and that scares the hell out of them.

Hey stupid "big dog", it is RINOS, not Rhinos, and that is exactly what simple Sarah is. Get an education, pal, especially about Palin. She is ruining the GOP and made us the laughingstock of the world.

Palin is a greedy, sociopathic, narcissistic, lying, fear mongering, hate spewing, egotistic, heartless, animal killing, mindless, ridiculous mother in name only. A demagogue.

Palin has body odor. I was at a book signing and was near her by inches. I think someone should tell her.

Yeah, Palin has never had a press conference and wont even answer questions unless she knows them beforehand and she can find out the answers. Can you just see her on Meet the Press? That would be hysterical.

Sarah Palin is a BIG phony! I am sick to death of her. I wish she'd go home and raise her baby, at a time when a child needs his mother most, in his formative years. She should follow Meg Stapleton, but Palin cares only for herself. Thats apparent!

Dear Ms. Palin, May we look forward to seeing you on "Meet the Press" so we know how you stand on the issues? Facebook is not enough, who knows if it is really you. Quit being a coward and face the nation instead of facebook.

How would the people who are dragging Sarah down the tube like to be judged by their own standards. Do they really think life is easy when everyone is standing in judgement of you and every thing you say. I for one think she is a very intelligent lady and now full of hooey like most politicians who lie everytime they open their mouth and then can't remember the last time they told a lie so they can repeat what they said or they just deny saying it at all. Surly the american people have learned their lesson after the last election. Give Sarah a chance and you will see just how smart a woman she is.

Missouri supporter, how can anyone give her a chance when she has never held a press conference or refuses to answer questions, never offered any policies or solutions, just continues to bash our president, via facebook. When will you realize this woman is a fraud.

If Obama had bashed her the way she continues to bash him, since the day he walked into the W.H., she'd be crying all over the media. And why was there nothing ever made of her remark calling Obama "Sambo"? She is too thin skinned for politics, among others and is certainly not smart. Shes proved thdt over and over.

And just look at how many lies and flip flops this woman has been caught in. You Palin supporters better do a little more reading about your idol! But we all know you dont read the negatives. you are all ill informed just as Palin is. Love is blind.

Palin is a money hungry quitter who is ready, willing and able to launch inflammatory verbal attacks on those who disagree with her. That is why Alaskans spoke in whispers. They didnt want to get on her "enemy list."

  • Tom 1 year ago

Thats right. People in Alaska didnt want to get on Palins enemy list. She is a mean and vindictive person. Thats why she bashes Obama. She feels he beat her. If you cross Sarah, you suffer the consequences. Ask any Alaskan.

The reason so many dislike Palin is not fear, nor jealousy or party affiliation, it is because she is NOT a nice person.
