Spooktacular dining room table decorating ideas for Halloween

*Black, silver, and white (vintage Hollow’s Eve…Munsters)

*Black, orange, and green (think Wicked...Wicked)

*Fuchsia and black (modern punk Halloween...Crossbones)

 

 

Centerpiece:

*Create a ghoulish flower arrangement with real or artificial roses (choose a color or two from your color scheme) and place in the center of the table surrounded by several candle stick holders in various sizes. Using colored candle sticks from your chosen scheme in the holders will add even more spook to your centerpiece! Visit your local antique shop to find unique vintage candle stick holders (Goldmine Unlimited).

 

*To use a pumpkin to display flowers cut the top off, clean out the inside, and place a small vase of arranged flowers inside. You can use several pumpkins in varying sizes or just one large. Find different colors or spray paint them to match your decor (add some sparkle with a clear glue and a touch of glitter).

 

*A few stacked cake pedestals in black with frosted cupcakes on top is a yummy way to add color and drama to a Halloween table. 

 

 

Linens:

*For a simple yet bold affect use an orange table cloth (or make your own with cheap fabric from JoMAR) with a black table runner. 

 

*A great table cloth for a children’s party can be made using a white fabric marker (Crayola Fabric Markers) to draw a spider web design on top of a black table cloth. Let the kids help for some family fun.

Settings:

*Print place cards on black paper with white, orange, green, or red ink and fix to a wire or toothpick. Stick in the top of a small pumpkin or gourd and voila instant place card holders! 

 

*For a mad hatter table setting use green or orange chargers with a black plate on top. Add green polka dots to orange cloth napkins (Crayola Fabric Markers), tie with a black ribbon and place on top of the plates.
