Michael Jackson's birthday burial in Watchtower's long shadow

 Tower Shadows by Mila Zinkova

Given Michael Jackson's long and troubled history with the Jehovah's Witnesses, it's more than a little ironic that he will be laid to rest on his birthday amidst great splendor and hoopla.

Michael will be interred in "a specially-built mausoleum" that is "fit for a king."  His Forest Lawn "neighbors" are Hollywood royalty.  A Las Vegas celebrity-filled tribute will be the follow-up event.

The January 1, 2005 Watchtower article, "Beware of Customs That Displease God," emphatically declares:

Throughout the years, Jehovah's Witnesses have thoroughly exposed unscriptural funeral customs.  Such customs include wakes, the pouring of libations, talking to and making requests of the dead, ceremonious observances of funeral anniversaries, and other customs based on the belief that something in a person survives death.  Such God-dishonoring customs are "unclean," an "empty deception" based on "the tradition of men" and not on God's Word of truth.

As for birthday celebrations, the Jehovah Witnesses are equally clear.  Lesson 11 from their official web site states:

The only two birthday celebrations spoken of in the Bible were held by persons who did not worship Jehovah.  (Genesis 40:20-22; Mark 6:21, 22, 24-27)  The early Christians did not celebrate birthdays.  The custom of celebrating birthdays comes from ancient false religions.  True Christians give gifts and have good times together at other times duing the year.

Much of what Michael practiced in life has also been condemned by the Witnesses.  Consider these Awake and Watchtower quotes:

For true Christians the subject of ambition does not present an ethical dilemma.  Their Bible-based consciences help them to shun ambition...

True, having money may give one a sense of freedom.  But as Paul explains, in the long run, pursuing money can actually make one a slave to "many senseless and hurtful desires, which plunge men into destruction and ruin."

God's people also refrain from idolizing the world's stars of entertainment and sports...  But some come to view the artist as their ideal, and by putting him on a pedestal, they make him into an idol...

When the elders insisted that Michael no longer speak to La Toya because she had stopped going to Kingdom Hall, Michael sought advice from his friend Marlon Brando.  According to La Toya, Marlon told him:

For heaven's sake, Michael, that's your sister.  If that's the way they're going to do things, you don't need to be part of that.  You can always get another religion, but you can never get another sister.

This excruciating dichotomy between Michael Jackson's lifestyle and belief system eventually led to his disassociation from the Watchtower Society in 1987.

However, neither disassociation nor death has completely dissolved the Jehovah Witness connection.

Michael's three children, now in Katherine Jackson's custody, have been recently seen attending the Kingdom Hall with their song books in hand...

I was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. It ruined my life. I was told as a child that everyone who wasn’t a JW was “worldly” and no good to be friends with. No sports, no plays, no holidays, no birthdays, no summer camp, etc. Basically you’re not supposed to have anything to do with the world you live in.

They don’t prepare you to be a successful adult in this world because it is “evil” and they are waiting and praying for Armageddon to happen at any time.

I quit believing and going to meetings when I was 15, but the teachings have left me with depression, isolation, paranoia, and borderline personality disorder from having to be different than everyone else. It is really a sad life to live.

The Watchtower society starting with bully president Joe Rutherford wants to control it's followers like Jim Jones.Their argument for no birthdays is very weak,Christmas has more scripture backing as it is pagan.

Remember, the Bible helps us see things the way they are. Look how bad things are in the world. The people who put all those rules on you were not JW's it was your mother and father. JW's don't tell people what to do, they advise, teach and show through the Bible what Jehovah feels. I raised 8 kids, I had my rules just as most parents do. Some people read the WT and the Bible and over do things, too harsh on their children. I tried to be balanced good with my kids as we all try to be. Doing the best I could. I did not let my children hang with the kids in the neighborhood. I am happy to say that 7 out of 8 of my children are all JW and happy productive people. The one that is not has suffers with depression all of his life even when he was a kid. If I knew what I know now, I would have taken him to the doctor at that time. I have 16 grandkids and they are being raised the way I raised my children. You should not blame Jehovah, but talk to your parents about it.

My boyfriend and I were talking about this.MJ is close or equal to iconic Elvis for this pop generation.

I believe that MJ would have turned out as sweet and clean as Elvis too if he hadn't been made indoctrinated into *weirdness* by the Jehovah's Witnesses cult.

Moma Jackson (Katherine) is bringing MJ's kids to the Kingdom Hall, so they can be indoctrinated. Jehovah’s Witness have the highest mental illness rate of any religion.
What if they need emergency whole blood transfusion?

Do a web index keyword search of Jehovah Witness read the pro and con about this group.
80& of all kids born & raised into the Jehovah's Witnesses oppressive Watchtower organization (like Michael was) will LEAVE.

Most of the original 9 Jackson kids especially Janet rejected the cult.
I pray to GOD that MJ's children don't get indoctrinated by the apocalyptic Jehovah's Witnesses same goes for all kids everywhere.

Sarah, how would you know that if you are not a JW? Everyone who is a JW love the life and most are happy with it the ones who are not, they do not have to remain a JW. There was a survey a few months ago and it said that the people who most likely read the Bible the most are JW’s. I was talking to a lady the other day (happened many times), and after talking to her she said, “I do not believe the way you do, but I have to say, you people know your Bible!” What does that tell you? Are we living the life we should? I think so. People who read this, if you want to know what we believe, read the Bible. If you do not understand what it says, ask us, we will not force you to believe the way we do we will teach you. We do not make people and try to pass laws to make people believe the way we do. We know people like Sarah probably will not change her feelings because she is stuck on her thinking. We decide what each one of us is going to do in the end.

The question arises was Michael Jackson abused? The answer is absolutely yes, he manifested every symptom in his life. The belief system of Jehovah’s Witnesses cult routinely covers up abuse and of this Michael was a victim.

The weirdness of his life and actions are easily explained by understanding the “us against them” belief system of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He was never at peace and always felt like a failure to his mom for not emulating and living her beliefs. The result was a sad person trying to find peace but deep down feeling he was never good enough where it really counted.

Isn't it striking that those that have been involved and "fallen" from the Jehovah's Witnesses have strikingly similar experiences to those who were involved with and "fell" from Scientology?

Sorry, I am not Steve Klemetti, I do not even know who this person is. I read this article and I wanted to put my two cents in because that is how I feel. Some people have a hard time in life, just like one of my sons. Others become a JW and their lives are a little better. We are not perfect as many people think we are. We are human and doing our best in serving our God. Once in a while we mess-up just like everyone else. But the thing is, we learn to love people and our God and that is why we go on Bible Studies, door to door to help. Really, we do not mean to bother people. We are trying to help our neighbors to have a happier life. I am not trying to clutter here. I just want people to know where we are coming from. I do not think I have said anything wrong here. It is the truth. Again, really, I am not Steve, my real name is Art. (Not too many Art’s these days. People don’t name there kids are anymore) That is who I am. Peace.

JW's get no respect anymore as it has become obvious that the billion dollar Watchtower religious organization could afford a few public charities, for the public and not just JW's who lose their home in a hurricane or flood. They can't defend their no-blood transfusion dogma either, which kills both children and adults. If blood transfusions were against the Bible then Orthodox Jews would refuse them, too. They regularly use medicine that is made from blood to save their life, but they discourage any JW from donating blood to save the life of others. 99.9% of the world just says "no" to the misguided JW's and JW shills here, who post their support on the Internet. These shills do look ridiculous and ignorant to the public.

Carman, have you ever read the Bible? Did Jesus or any of his followers ever celebrate his birthday? The answer is no. The whole Bible with all of those years even after Jesus was died no one ever celebrated his birthday. Think about it. Look up Christmas in any encyclopedia. Back 20 years ago the encyclopedias had the first thing about it being pagan then talked about what Christmas is now. Now it is the other way around but it is still there. However, we do not try to make others do what we do. We do not try to pass laws to make you comply with our teachings. You are your own person and if you want to celebrate it, fine. We never try to stop people from this. When they read the Bible then they want to stop on their own. Really, it’s the truth.

The Watchtower society Jehovah's Witnesses organization actually employs three psychological tools to maintain control and subjugation to their policies and rules.

    1. Fear
    2. Humiliation
    3. Exaltation

Fear of being lost or destroyed in the upcoming, pending great battle of Armageddon where the possibility of suffering a horrendous death according to them, is a very real fear. Such a fate awaits anyone who is not counted among JW's!

Those who are considered spiritually strong are exalted to an elevated status within their respective congregation. Brothers can advance to the lofty position of ministerial servant, elder or overseer at which time they command the respect of all in the congregation. Sisters can achieve a highly respectable status as well, though they are not appointed to a position. Those who spend considerable time in the field ministry, pioneering for example(spending a predetermined amount of time door knocking)are considered very strong spiritually.

Oh, for the poster that says "The WT does not tell us what to do and how to live our lives." Yes it does, if you don't think it does then you are not really paying attention to what is being written or spoken to you by the elders. Sure, technically it's a suggestion but if you don't follow it then you're either "marked" or pushed out. These are not suggestions, they are orders and veiled threats. Consider Mother Teresa's past work and all the charity work her missions are still doing and the Nobel peace prize she received. JW's have done nothing important compared to her work. They are sitting on a billion dollars of Watchtower wealth and they tell their own needy members to get help from, even the Salvation Army! I was a JW elder over 30 years ago and I do know what was said about 1975 in the KH and I do know that JW's are still lying about 1975 today. Most of the world remembers these JW lies, too. I know several individual that were former pastors, priests, ministers of other faiths. One is even taught the NT studies at a seminary. They are now all Witnesses, some Christian elders. Surely they must have read something in the Bible that made them agree with what is being taught by the WT. How many people who are studying with the Witnesses are given a library of anti-Witness books, but then after comparing what they say with Bible, they conclude that only the Witnesses really teach what the scriptures say. You can "witness" to a true Christian Witness when you don't really know what the Bible says.

Just because the Witnesses emphasize and teach what the Bible says about godly conduct, does not make them a "high control group." People can read for themselves what the Bible says and decided whether or not they want to obey Jesus. Witnesses do not force people to obey the commands of the Bible. Individuals must decide for themselves whether or not they will listen to what the Bible teaches.(John 3:36)

(this level of cult control is freaky)

    * * * *
    POSTED by Avenger says:
    GOOGLE:watchtower oral sex married couples
This shows how even private intimacies of MARRIED couples is 'regulated' by WBTS control.

Research for yourself on how the Watchtower Bible and tract society corporation does exercise absolute control over the life and death of every Jehovah's Witnesses man woman and child.

The Watchtower corporation is legally responsible and liable and accountable.

Finally, relevant to this discussion is how this cultic control held a lot of influence over Michael Jackson and his behavior.

www.watchtower.org Open your "eyes".. “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life" -John 3:16

"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." - John 17:3..

Jehovah's Witnesses have largest turnover of recruits, have one of the highest attrition rates of all denominations.

Seventy percent or more of all kids born brought Jehovah's Witnesses will leave, often in the state of 'disfellowshiped' which means they are considered dead to God and shunned by their own family.
So this is NOT a fast growing religion actually losing slightly in western countries and some gains in 3rd world as is most other new religions.

There actually are now twice as many former Jehovah's Witnesses as there are active ones with thousands leaving every month.Baptisms at assemblies is often mostly family member children who have grown up JW.

Jehovah's Witnesses 'Gospel message' is that Jesus had his return to power October 1914 and that he appointed them (the Watchtower people) as sole inheritors of all God's assets.
JW can't live down this false 1914 creed of theirs which is as fixed as Joseph Smith and the Golden plates are to LDS

Last I knew Michael Jackson had converted to Muslim. Since Muslims do not celebrate birthdays shouldn't the title and subject of this article had more to do with the Muslim faith?
