A gala ceremony for the 8th Annual American Business Awards was held in New York City last night.
Over 500 executives were in attendance to honor 2010’s champions, who represented a diverse cross-section of American business people, corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies.
There were 6 insurance industry winners.
CIGNA Corporation (Hartford, Connecticut) won Customer Service Team of the Year – Financial Services and Insurance.
Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America (Cleveland, Ohio) came away with the award for Customer Service Department of the Year – Insurance.
Blue Shield of California (San Francisco, California) was recognized as tops for Financial Ads and Campaigns (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance).
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Durham, North Carolina) placed first for Best Annual Report – Print.
Sun Life Financial (Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts) took the coveted prize for Best Marketing or Sales Brochure or Kit – Financial Services and Insurance.
The Stevie® Award for Insurance Web Site went to Amerigroup Corporation (Virginia Beach, Virginia).
More than 200 executives from across the U.S. judged over 2,700 entries to choose this year’s Finalists and Stevie Award winners under the American Business Awards program.
The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business.
