John Piano, CEO of Transplant Connect flew from Los Angeles to address the 850 attendees of the annual Breakfast of Hope. Following a career, which spanned entertainment, law and technology John Piano, began his journey of advocacy for kidney and organ transplants 7 years ago.
Creating a web-based software system, through his company Transplant Connect, medical provider users can become connected to potential transplant candidates. 50% of all organ transplants have benefited from the software program since its inception in 2003.
Review of the Transplant Connect website http://www.transplantconnect.com/service.htm notes a clicking calculator in the top right corner identifying 107.392 individuals throughout the United States who need an organ transplant. During the Breakfast of Hope presentation Mr. Piano reported that of the existing individuals waiting for an organ transplant 85,000 are waiting for kidneys.
Mr. Piano asked to audience to consider becoming a kidney donor now and referenced.

Mr. Piano smiled as he told the audience to begin by going to the website and signing up, a painless beginning. He further reminded everyone that the process begin with knowing an individuals blood type, followed by the process of evaluation of medical history, and finally a potential match through the database.
Humbly speaking of the efforts Transplant Connect, Mr. Piano, spoke of the 20 individuals who die each day waiting for a transplant and wanted the waiting to end and new lives to begin.
