Since 2004, the River Terrace Inn in Downtown Napa has been the gracious alternative to the large hotel chains by the highway, offering many more amenities and personalized service.  The hotel, with 106 rooms, really feels more like an inn, with cozy furniture in the lounge and friendly staff.  The rooms feel airy and light, with high ceilings and warm colors and lighting throughout.  All the rooms have in-room mini fridges and bars, high-speed internet and in-room safes that are large enough for a laptop.  Also included in the room rate are a generous hot breakfast and complimentary use of dvd's and bicycles to explore the neighborhood.  The hotel provides full room service as well as casual dining on the terrace by the Napa River, or in the cozy lounge area indoors.

The rooms facing the Oxbow preserve have beautiful views, but all the rooms are quiet with dual-pane windows.  Guests can wander out from the hotel or terrace onto the river walk and take a short stroll to the farmer's markets from spring to fall, to the Oxbow public market or cross the bridge to Main Street and the restaurants there.

The hotel has approximately 1,200 square feet of fully-equipped meeting space and catering services for corporate groups or private functions, plus extended space outdoor onto the terrace and on the banks of the river.  Being out on the terrace for casual dining or for functions really makes one feel they are no longer in the city.

The River Terrace Inn is located at 1600 Soscal Avenue, Napa Ca 94559, (707) 320-9000.
