The Brits stole the show last night's 81st Academy Awards in Hollywood. "Slumdog Millionaire" won 7 Oscars that went to both British and Indian artists, with director Danny Boyle receiving his prize from Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon, before jumping up and down like a crazy person. "My kids are too young to remember this now but when they were much younger I swore to them that if this miracle ever happened that I would receive it in the spirit of Tigger from Winnie the Pooh."
Danny Boyle's directing credits are an eclectic mix of genre from the thriller and social comedy of "Shallow Grave" and "Trainspotting" to the horror flick and sci-fi of "28 Days Later" and "Sunshine." Danny isn't afraid to take on anything as long as the script is strong and has a unique story to tell. With "Slumdog Millionaire" as his latest masterpiece there is no news as to what he us up his sleeve for development. Maybe I live action Winnie the Pooh.
