7 signs he might be the cheating kind

Is your husband or boyfriend a potential cheater?

Research indicates that at least 50% to 70% of men have cheated, or will cheat on their mates.

Does your spouse or significant other fall into that category?  Here are 7 signs that indicate that he might be the cheating kind.

1. He thrives on adventure.

Some men enjoy all the suspense, deception, excitement and intrigue that go along with infidelity. They'll cheat simply for the "thrill of the chase" and look at infidelity as type of high risk sport.

2. He had a great deal of sexual experience prior to your relationship.

Studies reveal that men who lead very active sex lives before finally settling down in a marriage or committed relationship are more likely to engage in sex outside their primary relationship. Don't expect a leopard to change his spots.

3. He has lots of female friends.

Close friendships with other women are a common starting point for infidelity. The closer their friendship, the greater the likelihood is that it will develop into emotional infidelity, which is a stepping stone to sexual infidelity. Friends can quickly turn into lovers.

4. His male friends are cheating on their wives or girlfriends.

Never underestimate the power of peer pressure – even among adults.  If his friends are cheating, he'll eventually be influenced by their behavior.  And before you know it, he’ll soon be cheating too.

5.One of his parents cheated on the other.

Infidelity tends to run in families. No, it’s not a hereditary trait.  But children who grow up in households with cheating parents are often programmed to follow in their parent’s footsteps, considering infidelity to be the norm.

6.He cheated in one or more of his previous relationships.

Cheaters tend to become repeaters if they don’t suffer any negative consequences as a result of their affairs.  If he cheated before and got away with it, or got caught and no major fallout occurred, he’s more likely to cheat again.  His history will probably repeat itself.

7. He doesn’t see anything wrong with infidelity.

If he doesn't feel that infidelity is wrong – if he thinks it’s  OK to have a woman on the side because that’s what all men do, his behavior will reflect his belief.
