Flyer for the show
A whole lot is going on today. There are definitely quite a few heavy hitters in town, so you really can’t go wrong wherever you end up. However, the whole point of this thing is a recommendation and so a recommendation you shalt receive: go to The Lost Leaf and watch Snow Songs play with Harris Trucks and Hooves. Yeah yeah, two of these groups are locals you have a chance to see all the time and Ida Maria probably won’t be back for a while, but this set up is too good to miss. The Lost Leaf is always a cool place to hang and the fact that it is a smaller more intimate setting as well as being free seals the deal.
Whether it is the atmospheric Latin folk of Snow Songs, the energetic pop rock of Harris Trucks, or the schizophrenic western punk of Hooves, your ears will be receiving a sonic rubdown for the whole evening.
The Lost Leaf - 8:30 PM - $0
And if that doesn’t sound fun: So Ida Maria is kinda getting a lot of hype. The Scandinavian rocker strikes a delicate balance between punk aesthetic and pop sensibilities. She is kind of like a goofy non-sucky version of Avril Lavigne really. You just stopped reading didn’t you? Oh well. Catch her at the Martini Ranch. Better yet, stop by the Zia in Chandler at four to catch an in-store before heading over to the Leaf. The best of both worlds!

Hooves are not punk. I bet none of those dudes can even name one punk band ha. Punk is my roots. You can't be using a music genre like that so loosely. Not being bitchy..just sayin..
ok nevermind. I guess you will be able to defend yourself because you said western punk. Whatever the hell that is I know I don't listen to it ha
