Zombie no fan of Lambert
Rolling Stone may have further ignited the spark of intrigue about Adam Lambert, the Idol runner up speaking freely-and publicly for the first time about his sexuality, but others aren’t buying into the Lambert hoopla anymore.
“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert says in the interview for the latest Rolling Stone issue. “I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”
As where some claim his sexuality was an issue with American Idol never having an openly gay winner, and may untimely lost him the contest the safer and more conservative Kris Allen, The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has stepped up calling Lambert’s decision to “live openly and honestly inspires gay people and opens the heart and minds of his fans.”
Despite losing AI, Lambert has signed a deal to have his debut album be released this fall on RCA Records.
While many celebrities are still on the Adam Lambert bandwagon, one you will not see singing his praises: musician turned horror movie director Rob Zombie.
"I'm sure Adam can f---ing sing 10 times better than Mick Jagger, but who gives a s---," Zombie says. "He ain't f--king Mick Jagger. You know what I mean? There are probably a million guitar players in the world better than Keith Richards, but they ain't f---ing Keith Richards!" says Zombie to Yahoo News.” I’m not a big fan of the thought that you can become a star by winning a contest," he said. "I'm sort of old-fashioned? I think people need to get out there and they need to work and they need to do their music because they love it."
"If they become successful, then great, and if they are not, whatever? That's the way the chips may fall. I just get disgusted watching people crying that it should have been them, that they're a star, that they're special," he added. "You know what? F--- you!"
Don’t be expecting that Rob Zombie/Adam Lambert tour anytime soon kids.

Mr. Zombie is entitled to his view - the problem with it is that Adam Lambert has at no time said he deserved to win over Kris or that he's a star or special, or that he's unwilling to work hard for his music - in fact he's been paying dues in Hollywood clubs for 8 years.
I hope that was an ironic who is rob zombie. Cas seriously? Oh my.
And im an adam supporter too but gotta admitt its about time he gets press for something other than losing idol, or being gay.
Lets write about him for the music he puts out and hope his original material is as brilliant as his covers.
as for adam not paying his dues, never implied that he didnt, from what i know of his career he definatly has done a lot before the show and i look forward to seeing what his original material is going to be, however the whole concept of winning "stardom" is one of the reasons that normally i avoid shows like american idol or so you think you can dance and anything like that because for the reasons that some are saying, "you cant just win and overnight be this sensation and expect stuff to be handed to you because you were voted by the public or whatever". i think as much as adam has proven himself so far, he is strong enough to put out a good record that is going to show everyone that is counting him out already and saying that hes just still riding the success of the show and become a big star. i do agree with rob zombies point that we shouldnt just assume anyone because of their affilation with one show or another deserves star treatment though.

Who the hell is Adam Lambert? A name "majority" of people outside of the united stats havent heard of or give a crap about. I only heard of this guy by doing a goodle search on "Rob Zombie". Lambert? A deadset no name.
Who is Rob Zombie? Um, I believe he is the reigning musician on Geffen Records that has more Gold and Platnium albums than anyone else signed to that record company. Would you like me to name a few bands/musicians that are signed to Geffen?
