Dear Santa,
I know in my last letter I wanted an entire fest trip but I came up with a few additional items.
If there is room on that sleigh throw in some first edition H.P.Lovecraft for those nights I need a scary tale to put me down for the night, my own personal tattoo artist on call from when an idea pops into my head and I find a patch of skin to decorate. Can I also have the Harry Potter cloak of invisibility for when I'm at the day job?
Fat Man, before you go calling me greedy and all that can I point out the bright new additions to my list that will benefit my music journalism career? A great writer can only get better with seminars right?
December 7th, I'll need some airfare, hotel accommodations, and a car rental please to hit up the San Fran Music Tech Summit to hang with developers, entrepreneurs, investors, service providers, journalists, musicians and organizations to engage in the spread of ideas on new technology in the music industry.

You are also sending me to the 14th annual Millennium Music Conference Feb. 18-20, so plan the same sort of trip so I can spend three afternoons learning from music business keynotes, panels, clinics, workshops, day stage, one-on-one mentoring & demo listening sessions, and industry trade show.

This time, I'm headed to Canadian Music Week (CMW), but you have until March to figure that one out. Maybe it could be an early birthday present. Canada's leading annual entertainment event combines four information-intensive conferences; a trade exposition; a film festival; four awards shows and the nation's largest New Music Festival - Canadian Music Fest. The festivities will return for a four-day period in 2010 - March 10 to March 14 - at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and various downtown Toronto venues, attracting participants from across the globe.
So what is it going to be Santa? Haven't I been a good enough girl this year to get some treats?
