New Jersey film festival feature: Unremembered, written and directed by Greg Kerr

Tim Delaney as John Outis/courtesey of Greg Kerr

This Friday, October 30th, the New Jersey film festival will have a second showing of Unremembered, a feature-length story about a man with no past. Told in non-linear time (similar to Memento,) the film expands over 16 days as John Outis (played by Tim Delaney) attempts to restore a fractured life and employs the help of a physics professor, Dr. Tina Plantes (played by Karla Mason.)

This film, written and directed by Greg Kerr, has already won an Accolade Award of Merit, an award for Best Narrative Feature at the Great Lakes Independent Film Festival, and Best Sci-Fi Film at the Eugene International Film Festival. In answering to his intent of the film, Kerr writes, ‘I personally like stories that make you think and that you can watch again later and get even more out of. Even better, are films that make you think and give you an emotional thrill-ride, too. It's why I wrote this story.’

If there ever was a perfect example of an independent film, Unremembered is the poster-boy. Completely funded by Kerr, the entire production cost $31,685.

You can see the film, along with two shorts, in Scott Hall #123 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for general audience members.

Definitely looks like one that will put you on the edge of your seat. I would probably analyze it for weeks in my head!

Thank you very much, Matthew, for posting this! I was doing a routine search for press related to my film and came upon this listing. I'll be at the screening at Rutgers Scott Hall (New Brunswick) on October 25th and I will speak with the audience and answer questions about my film.

Plus I'll be giving out gift certificates to local restaurants and copies of the film on DVD to some lucky audience members. If the Q&A afterward is anything like it did in Oregon, you are in for a great experience, both with the film and the discussion.

    Thanks again!
