Indianapolis Colts 2009 NFL Draft: Quarterback

(AP Photo/Jeff Chiu)

In this first of a series, we'll take a look at the Colts' needs in the 2009 NFL Draft at the quarterback position.

We start with quarterback, because we're going through every position, but the reality is this is an area of low need – and that's not just because the Colts have three-time Most Valuable Player Peyton Manning at the position. They also like their backup Jim Sorgi, a player who team officials long have said is far better than the public realizes, the public not having had a chance to see much of Sorgi because of Manning taking every meaningful snap and never missing a start in 11 NFL seasons.
