For the second straight game the Pacers scored 87 points. For the second straight game, the Pacers lost on the road. And for the second straight game the Pacers were blown away by it's opponent in the second half.
Not even the return of Pacers' all-star swing man Danny Granger could stop the team from sliding down in the playoff race. They are now two and a half games behind 8th seeded Milwaukee behind Chicago, New York, New Jersey and Charlotte.
On the other hand, the Raptors were able to snap their 7-game losing streak with the win. Andrea Bargnani led the Raptors scoring 27 points and Chris Bosh had 15 points and 13 rebounds.
The Raptors surged in the third quarter to pull away from the Pacers. The 23 point victory was biggest margin of victory the Raptors have had this season.
After the game, Pacers center Jeff Foster described the game as embarrassing and went on to say
“They basically punched us in the face," and added "We got beat in every phase of the game.”
Jose Calderon also had a solid game for the Raptors scoring 15 points and dropping 12 assists while Pops Mensah-Bonsu scored a career-high 21.
The Pacers were led by Troy Murphy's 16 points and 10 boards. Murphy by far has been the consistent bright spot for the Pacers this season other than Granger. The Pacers have dropped three straight games and four out of five and will be hard-pressed to crack the playoffs.
They will continue to try however on Wednesday as they try to avenge their loss to Portland last week as they host the Blazers at Conseco at 7pm.
