British luxury Car maker Rolls Royce launched its most technologically advanced car 'Ghost' in New Delhi, India on friday.
The 'Ghost' is priced at INR 2.5 crore. The bookings for the car have began but the car will be delivered only in the 1st quarter of 2010.
Observing the growth of high networth individuals in India, those with cash or assets of over $30 million, the company plans to sell 75 cars in 2010.
Rolls Royce regional director for Asia, Mr Colin Kelly said ”We expect to sell 75 cars in 2010 in India, of which Ghost will comprise 50-60 units”.
Rolls Royce sold 1,212 cars last year and should sell around 1,000 cars this year. Led by India and China, the Asian market is the fastest growing market for Rolls Royce. “We are looking at India’s long term potential,” Mr Kelly said.
