Andrew Breibart's BigGovernment.com has got to be the strangest anomoly to hit Holllywood since Reagan was elected President. A conservative website smack dab in the middle of the liberal capital of the world, Hollywood California, BigGovernment.com is becoming more than just a thorn in the side of the left.
The buzz all over the internet this morning is BigGovernment.com's exlusive of the transcript from James O'Keefe's investigation that uncovered the Baltimore ACORN chapter promoting fraud and perpetuating child prostitution.
The fact that this had to be exposed by an independent film maker and broke on an internet site is just one more example of the entrenched media's kid glove approach to all things politically left. The recent Van Jones fiasco but another.
It's one thing to swoon for a candidate so much you use your power to sway a national election, tis totally another to completely shirk responsibility to investigate and report on ovbiously fraudelent organizations because it might hurt the image of the man you put in power.
From Dan Rather at the Aspen Institute to the the Marburger brothes in the L.A. Times the entrenched media is constant in it's lamenting of, and crying for, the saving of "quality", "investigative", journalism and news.
They whine of the internet stealing their profits, leaving them withouth the financial resources to do the hard hitting investigative reporting required for a free republic.
Yet a 25 year old independent film maker has just exposed yet another fraud from that Obama favorite organization ACORN.
I wonder how O'Keefe's budget compares to that of the L.A. or New York Times news budgets?
The lesson to be learned in this whole mess, is not whether a media outlet is right or left, old or new, but rather if it is willing to just report THE TRUTH.
After all the slobbering from the entrenched media over the President's speech last night and CNN's misleading poll (45% democrat to only 18% republicans polled) reporting, is there any doubt the only truth reported is the administration's version?
No doubt Breitbart and O'Keefe will be trashed by ACORN and their supporters, but somehow I don't think they'll mind.

The video I saw was very heavily edited, with various people in and out of the room at different points (suggesting that even the time-line was altered). Why have they not released the full, unedited version? They did release a transcript and audio, but audio is very easy to edit to present a different story.
Very fishy.
Also, notice that Breibart is not taking any responsibility for the veracity of the video submitted by O'Keefe. The "entrenched media" stands behind its stories.

This is some of the worst BS I've ever seen. They show somebody explain how the gov't will flag you for having 13 people in a house, but then it cuts to blackscreen saying the person offering advice gave it to a prostitute. There's no indication the Acorn Volunteer was aware this person was a prostitute? If they did, nothing in the video or audio indicated so, and I'm assuming that's why they use the BS blackscreen cuts. If it's not obvious what is happening in the video then no amount of black screen explanations will make it better.

Beck showed a version on his show that leaves absolutely no doubt that the Acorn workers knew they were advising how to set up a house of child prostitution, and skirt the law in all respects (avoid taxes on house of child prostitution, and much more...look for the video.)

ACORN is Obama's organized crime syndicate, receiving $8.5 billion from the stimulus bill in addition to the other government support for this criminal enterprise.
Obama wants ACORN to count heads for the census. Isn’t ACORN busy enough with voter fraud, shaking down banks, and helping young people get into prostitution of 13-year-old children, tax evasion, and money laundering? Where will they find time to conduct the Census?

Gee, I don't see Obama on this tape. If we're going to hold people accountable for actions of a group someone's been (tenuously) connected to, I think they'll be a hell of a lot of people disgraced and arrested. This tape is disgusting, and I believe it's 100 percent true, and I'm saying this as an Obama supporter. They should be prosecuted and the office investigated. If this goes deeper, so be it. That said, why not release the entire video? Why is it that the times that they mention "prostitution" in the transcript, it doesn't appear in the video? Like I said, they did illegal stuff, stuff that should get them arrested. But "hinting" is not saying it. People can dress like clowns, but that doesn't mean that they made it clear.
Now, if it does come out that the transcript was changed to make it more damaging, then one has to wonder...

I think it's funny people associate these two individuals from ACORN with Obama. Did he know them personally? How many people work for ACORN? How many states do they work in? Yet Obama knows them ALL and is responsible for every action they take, good, bad, or indifferent? Wow. If this is so rampant throughout ACORN why is there only one video from one location? ACORN claims O'Keefe attempted this in many different offices throughout the US without success. We've only seen one portion of one edited tape and now we know everything about this organization? As someone with a professional journalism background, I'd say that stinks and doesn't in any way pass the litmus test of an accurate report. Why is no one here discussing the real issue of the curruption here! The person who took the video is clearly not a journalist, that doesn't change the fact of curruption or the ties of acorn to the king!
