The new Pearl Harbor: Safe Schools CZAR pushes pornography on children

Sixty-eight years ago today, Japan launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor that brought the United States into World War II. In that historic conflict we defeated Japan and its German Nazi ally four years later at a cost of over 400,000 American lives.

Since before World War II however, we have faced a much more subtle foe – one that in many ways has been more deadly. The foe is an amorphous mass, variably called: “Liberal,” "Progressive," “Leftist,” “the Left,” “the Radical Left,” the “New Left,” “Communist,” “Neo-communist,” “Socialist,” “Marxist,” “Neo-Marxist,” even “Marxofascist.”

Lest “liberals” take offense at being associated with communists, Marxists and socialists, it can only be said that Lenin referred to them as “useful idiots,” i.e. those who knowingly or unknowingly assist communists in achieving communist objectives. For this reason communists share the same contempt for liberals that the rest of us do. We both know they are fools.

So forget liberals. Call the foe the “radical left”. It has been the instigator of most of our foreign policy failures, including Vietnam and Korea; failures measured in millions of lives. Practically every public policy failure of the past century, from the healthcare crisis to our addled legal system, from crime-ridden ghettos to failing public schools, can be laid at the feet of the Left.

But many of us have been complicit, in that we either stood idly by, or supported the left’s policies because we saw some personal benefit (e.g. welfare payments, housing subsidies, Medicare, etc.) Many politicians have assisted the Left out of cynical calculation, going along to get along, or downright cowardice. Some of us voted for them. Many pitched in and helped because we thought we were doing good – like Teddy Kennedy used to say, “Fighting the good fight.”

As a result, today this foe occupies the corridors of power across much of the United States, and has penetrated our government at all levels, corporations, foundations and most tragically, our schools.

One of their latest offensives is the Obama administration’s appointment of militant gay activist Kevin Jennings to be the Department of Education’s director of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, i.e. the “Safe Schools CZAR.”

Jennings’ career has largely been dedicated to advancing the radical homosexual agenda. Jennings was a member of the radical group ACT UP, which used violent tactics to push its equally radical AIDS agenda. He helped fund a pornographic ACT UP exhibition at Harvard University’s art museum.

Early in his teaching career, Jennings encouraged a teenager who was in a homosexual relationship with an older man. If the boy was underage, as Jennings claimed in a 2000 speech, then Jennings may have violated the law by not reporting statutory rape to authorities. He has since admitted he should have “handled this situation differently” but has also altered the story, now claiming the boy was sixteen, i.e. of legal, consenting age. Surprise, surprise, the boy has come forward to the leftist Media Matters, saying he was sixteen at the time. But actually, the relevant state law requires reporting of sexual activity between an adult and any child less than eighteen years of age.

Finally, Jennings has the singular distinction of being identified in his own words as someone who openly admired National Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) cheerleader, Harry Hay. Hay was a communist homosexual considered to be the “father” of the American gay movement.

Jennings main “qualification” if you want to call it that, is his creation and long-term leadership of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). According to its website, this group “strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.” It goes on to decry “racism,” “sexism,” “homophobia,” and “heterosexism” as detrimental to “a healthy school climate.” (Emphasis added.)

Here is an audio of Jennings angrily accusing schools of “promoting heterosexuality” and “recruiting children to be heterosexuals,” citing as evidence, assignment of such literature as Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

The charge is of course absurd. Schools have never promoted heterosexuality. Heterosexuality does not require promotion. But that has never been their job anyway. The school’s job is to educate and teach children how to learn. Shakespeare isn’t widely taught because his works “promote heterosexuality.” He is taught for his literary genius.

It is a widely-used communist tactic, however, to attack people, institutions, companies, whatever, for doing what they have always naturally done. This is what Jennings was doing here. Remember Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals #3: "Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat."

Because the charge of “promoting heterosexuality” is so completely outside our frame of reference, it puts people on the defensive. It forces people to doubt their actions and attitudes where no doubt existed before. In that doubt, fear and confusion, the speaker offers his “solution” that will make all the doubt and fear go away. This is a standard tactic for manipulating people into agreeing to policies and ideas they would never support otherwise.

It is also part and parcel of the communist Frankfurt School’s conspiracy to corrupt the culture and morals of American society, something we have come to know as the “Culture War.” Significantly, Jennings outlined his strategy for mainstreaming homosexuality in secondary schools in a 1995 speech titled “Winning the Culture War.” He said that it was essential to frame the debate as a “safety issue” rather than a homosexual issue because if his movement was perceived “as preying on children, we will lose.”

But that is precisely what they appear to have been doing. A WorldNet Daily article offered inadvertent proof of this in October 2008, before anyone had heard of Kevin Jennings. Ironically the article was about Weather Underground terrorist and Obama friend Bill Ayers’ endorsement of a book titled “Queering Elementary Education: Advancing the Dialogue about Sexualities and Schooling.” Jennings wrote the foreword.

But Jennings and Ayers have more in common than that. Like Bill Ayers, Jennings organized a fundraiser for candidate Obama. Also in attendance at the Jennings fundraiser, visible in this video link, is Bill Clinton. Hidden from view in the video, but present nonetheless, sitting just to the right of the stairway, is George Soros. A regular rogue's gallery of Crisis Strategy practioners, that gathering.

Now, Scott Baker of Breitbart.tv has published at Gateway Pundit the disturbing evidence that shows exactly how Kevin Jennings and his GLSEN activists advance their homosexual agenda in schools: by peddling child pornography. Warning: some of the links embedded in this article contain foul language and graphic, explicit descriptions of various sex acts, mostly among children, some as young as five.

As the article explains:

GLSEN… strives to influence the educational curriculum to include materials which the group believes will increase tolerance of gay students and decrease bullying. To that end, GLSEN maintains a recommended reading list of books that it claims “furthers our mission to ensure safe schools for all students.”

In other words, these are the books that GLSEN’s directors think all kids should be reading: gay kids should read them to raise their self-esteem, and straight kids should read them in order to become more aware and tolerant and stop bullying gay kids. Through GLSEN’s online ordering system, called “GLSEN BookLink,” featured prominently on their Web site, teachers can buy the books to use as required classroom assignments, or students can buy them to read on their own.

The authors ordered some random samples to see what was in the books:

What we discovered shocked us. We were flabbergasted. Rendered speechless. We were unprepared for what we encountered. Book after book after book contained stories and anecdotes that weren’t merely X-rated and pornographic, but which featured explicit descriptions of sex acts between pre-schoolers; stories that seemed to promote and recommend child-adult sexual relationships; stories of public masturbation, anal sex in restrooms, affairs between students and teachers, five-year-olds playing sex games, semen flying through the air. One memoir even praised becoming a prostitute as a way to increase one’s self-esteem.

The Gateway Pundit article examined eleven books. Excerpts are provided, with photocopied page reproductions proving their authenticity, one with a graphic drawing of two men engaged in anal sex with a Boy Scout and scout master looking on. You are free to peruse them by following the link. These were shown, as the article explained, to present irrefutable proof of what might otherwise seem unbelievable.

As the founder of GSLEN, as a champion of the NAMBLA lifestyle, it is impossible to accept that Kevin Jennings is not aware of the child pornography being peddled by his organization. It requires no stretch of the imagination to believe that he not only approves of this literature, but that it was promoted at his instigation.

Homosexuality brought us the AIDS epidemic, which, as of 2001, had killed 583,293 people. Half of the estimated 40,000 annual AIDS infections are among people under 25. Homosexual teens are more than three times as likely to commit suicide as others in their age group. Homosexuality has bought Western culture deserved contempt, as the West’s “sexual tourists,” mostly homosexual men, travel the world preying on third world children, spreading and bringing back every description of sexually transmitted disease.

The headlines are awash with stories of sexual predators trafficking in child pornography, abusing, kidnapping and murdering children. The Catholic Church has been scandalized by stories of priests abusing choir boys, shaking that institution to its very foundation.

While these abhorrent, unhealthy, illegal and sometimes deadly activities have landed people extensive jail sentences, it takes the breath away to realize that the person President Barack Obama chose to ensure “safe” public schools spent much of his adult life actively promoting the homosexual lifestyle with child pornography. He should be in jail with the rest of the sexual predators. Instead he has been made gatekeeper to our most prized possession: our children.

The child pornography laws only ban images, and except the one picture noted above, the mass of this is in written form. All the books should be examined closely by law enforcement for sexually explicit images. Leave it to the Holder Justice Department to defend Jennings then.

Jennings is an abomination. This presidency is an abomination. Obama has taken a chain saw to our economy. He has taken a chain saw to our national security. Now he’s going after our children. The tide must be turned. The “sleeping giant” aroused to fury by Pearl Harbor must awake again.

These people must be stopped.

The boy was 16, which is under the drinking age (21) and age of majority (18:voting/military age/contract age), but well above the lawful age of consent in Jenning's state. If the boy were instead consorting with an older woman, Jennings could have instead suggested he marry her. Gay does not equal pedophile. Further, heterosexual men (women too) are very much guilty of robbing the cradle. Also he had a duty of confidentiality.

As for the GLSEN books, most of those are rather tamed compared to other stuff we let young people read. And, I can find plenty of X-rated material right in the Bible:

"Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled." (Ezekiel 23: 19-21)

"But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own p*ss with you?" (II Kings 18:27)

"Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls." (Micah 1:8)

And, what about Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet'? Suicide.

Check your facts. Jennings said at one point he was fifteen. Suddenly he came forward to correct that. According to the sources documented, MA law said 18, as in many states, is the age of consent.

Check the links again. I don't spend a lot of time researching the Gay movement. The linked sources call Hay the father of the gay movement. The point is he championed NAMBLA.

Are you saying that because Plato did it, it is okay? I will keep my children away from you.

    Your Ezekiel quote:

19 Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

20For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

21Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the paps of thy youth.

Not exactly the same tenor. Finally, we don't read that stuff to five-year-olds.

Thank you for bringing this story to light, Jim. I read some excerpts from Mr. Jenning's recommended reading and I while I'm sure there are a lot worse things in print, the idea that this vile and disgusting text is being promoted by Jennings for grade school children to read is beyond comprehension. I don't understand why this piece of slime isn't behind bars for promoting child pornography. And to make this more disturbing, this threat to society was appointed by our illustrious president. Look how far we have slipped as a nation. I plan to make this a campaign of mine to see that Jennings goes away.

I'm not sure I follow the comments from 'Greling'... is this writer defending Jennings? Not sure how anyone can defend pornography for and about children unless the writer likes to "dabble" in the arena himself? The whole story is so sick on so many levels.

    Great Article Mr. Simpson,

There is a tendency in our country, abetted by the press, to linger but a few days on any story. Obama's whole Czar appointment scheme should be highlighted at every opportunity. It is an abomination of our Constitution as well as a Leftist perversion of our Society as you pointed out.

Greling, If it is Harry Hay you are refering to then yes he was important to "the movement" if you could call it that going back to NYC..all prior to Harvey Milk. By the way I knew Harvey Milk. I was not part of that "community", but I can tell you he never left me with the impression that he EVER would have endorsed pedophlia. He was if anything...a politician first with all that implies. And I would call Socrates and Plato pedaphiles.

I would add another to your list Mr Simpson, and that would be "Progressives." And perhaps even "environmentalists". Both of these terms are used by people who espouse a VERY Marxist ideology. I am glad to see articles exposing this.

Jack, Yeah and you're a useful idiot! The point of this whole article is the fact that Jennings should not be in this position and furthermore should not be allowed to push his gay agenda onto school children. If you want to be gay than be gay but don't push your lifestyle choice onto other people who don't share your belief. You scream bloody murder if someone, or society itself, tries to force their normal values onto you, but you do the same thing by attempting to shove down our throats your chosen lifestyle and expect us to except it. You are the ultimate in blatant hypocrisy! I pity those who choose this destructive lifestyle and those who force it on society as they will surely burn in the Lake of Fire for eternity. This isn't hate speech as I'm NOT condoning any violence it's merely the truth and if you don't like it you need to get over yourself!

I never said I endorsed pedophilia. You folks have gone way off on the deep. I just said its absurd to think that Jennings is somehow a pedophile via guilt by association because he "admired" Harry Hay. Millions of us admire the Greco-Roman philosophers. Does that make practically every academic a pedophile.

    Jim's reasoning is way off.

And I never said that the material Jennings gave to the kids was appropriate in any way. I simply implied that people are rather hypocritical about what material they give to their children. They'll freak about about a book with two princes holding hands but they won't blink twice about handing their child a copy of the Bible or one Shakespeare's plays depicting suicide, teenage rebellion and underage sex.

Oh, and Jim, Massachusetts age of consent has been changed over the years. I think it should be 18. States like Georgia (16) still need to catch up. Still, my point is had this been a case of a lil guy and a woman, would it be breaking news?

The one book on the reading list that's gathering all of the attention (99% of the reading list was fairly innocuous) is "Reflections of a Rock Lobster", a book written at the 11th grade-level. There is a small part in the book where the author jokes about his experiences of sex play in preschool. He claims that he experimented at an early age.

    Two points, Jim.

First, good luck getting an 5-year-old to even comprehend the words on the page or even be bothered with the book. The out-dated, out-of-print book is a dense novel and has no pictures and is of a young adult reading level. Most of its targeted readers are just about finishing late puberty and have probably already had their first sexual experience by now.

Second, you may be shocked and alarmed, but according to mainstream psychologists, peer sex play is a normal part of early childhood development. Though it may come as a shock to parents who have forgotten doing it themselves, it should not be of great alarm. Research

    Hey Greling,
Fairly innocuous?? Are you kidding? One book was worse than the next. I don't care if you're grading the 'recommended reading' on a scale of 1 to 10, the fact that there is a homosexual pedophile who holds a "czar" position in the Obama White House should send out an alarm in any thinking person who has even the slightest interest in how and what our children are being taught in this country. Mainstream TV and video games teaches them how to kill and have sex way before they are age appropriate - do you read the news?? I would suggest you return to the rock you've been living under and continue convincing yourself that only one of the books was not suitable (or whatever you were trying to say). Keven Jennings is a dangerous, sick, vile, disgusting human being that needs to be escorted out of the People's House where he can't set policy. Preferably, he should be behind bars, but that's not up to me. If you like him so much, invite him over for coffee. Give it up!

It is fully possible to be disgusted with one segment of a person's life while still admiring the overall person that they were. This would fall into the mainstream view of the overwhelming majority consensus of medical and mental health professionals. Homosexuality may not fall into your person moral view or world outlook, but that is no reason to demonize it or marginalize it, as it seems like you clearly wish to.

I'm defending Jenning's right to a fair trial; that's all. I did the same with Don Imus about a while back. I really hate it when people distort the facts or go off of what others have said, often because there is a hidden agenda associated with whatever their source it. I often find that the anti-gay crowd has crazy ties to Nazism, racism, and white supremacy and recent media news shows that they're also heavily tied into state-sanctioned murder of gays in Uganda.

"do you think Jennings is a good choice?"

No, but not because of some bogus resume ideologues have tried to pin to him. Rather, I think Jennings is a poor choice the same way I think Rick Warren was. Obama promised to be a uniter and not a divider, and all of his nominations and appointments have proven to be anything but. Obama has pretty much turned into the Democrat's answer to Bush instead of the Democrat's answer for America.

GLSEN's own documents clearly say that educators should filter the material and also warn that some of the items are graphic and mature and not suitable. If a fourth grader picked up a copy of 'The Color Purple' by Alice Walker and read about a woman being raped by her stepfather and becoming an atheist as a result, I'd be just as mad if they read 'Rock Lobster'. But, my anger would not be directed at Jennings or GLSEN for providing a gay-themed reading list. My anger would be at the educator who made the final curriculum decision and ignored GLSEN's clearly stated warning that some of the books are not appropriate for all ages.

As far as the explicit content, that is not new. Like I showed earlier, even the Bible has explicit content. I'm finding all of the claims made in your article Jim are bold lies and distortions.

The best argument you've been able to dish out so far is that the guy is a pedophile via guilt by association with---or rather, mere admiration of---someone who probably was a pedophile.

Let's be real people. If you don't like Jennings because he's a homo, just upright and front about it. Don't lie. Don't deceive. It only destroys your credibility.

Educational curriculum in the U.S. has always been decided on the local level on a district-by-district and school-by-school basis. I just find it funny that someone you think he has a remote control up his sleeve on what your kids rea

    Greling,

Why should people accept a person in a position of such power who; 1. Is not elected and 2. Has a predilection for ADVOCATING pediphilia and homosexuality in his past life and in the books he represents.???

Education should be about educating, not indoctrinating and especially not about recruiting into a particular lifestyle. You equate the trash that he advocates as appropriate material on equal footing with religious holy books.

I think anyone reading your garbage comments should just reflect on those points...which are the essence of your argument. By the way I am Agnostic, but I recognize the huge importance of and influence of the Bible. That you equate its' importance with thinly veiled gay pornography is absolutely stunning...in a negative way.

    Simpson, you wrote:

Oh, that is good! Racism, sexism, homophobia. Can't you guys ever get a new sound bite? What a cheap shot. Simply disgusting that liberals always revert to that when you run out of arguments. NO basis in reality, but a standard tactic of the left, which by the way has much more in common with the NAZIs than the right ever did."

Your indignation would be more convincing if you didn't routinely accuse people you don't like of communism, fascism, pedophilia, and attempting to destroy America.

Your argument itself would be more convincing if you had anything to offer *except* bland and predictable ad hominems.

    Tomas,

Must someone be elected to be capable? I know plenty of elected people who are not.

I take no book as holy. The closest I come to finding something written as holy is looking at the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence, because they represent somewhat of the height of humanity in history.

As far as the Bible, I view it as a hate document. The Bible is responsible for ethnic tribalism, anti-Semitism, sexism and homophobia. The Christian God clearly instructs his follows to kill gays (see Leviticus 20:13). That is hate.

Now, prove to me that Jennings has advocated pedophilia. I'm still waiting on Jim to bring forth evidence. Do you have it or are you just spouting off.

From what I can tell, people just hate Jennings because he's gay. '

Tell that to the wacked out Christofacists. They want to recruit everyone into their lifestyle.

I don't see what makes a person being gay a "lifestyle" any more than being left handed or blue-eyed is a lifestyle. It's not like they're all vegans.

So, I'm guessing in all of those African and Middle Eastern countries where Christianity and Islam runs rampant and mere suspicion of homosexuality very easily runs life imprisonment or the death penalty, the few gays left just have these magical powers from behind bars or beyond the grave.

Uhh, I do hate being called a "right wing extremist" but sometimes I feel the name fits some people.

From the article, "Homosexuality brought us the AIDS epidemic...".

This statement is very counter productive and sets the conservative movement back years behind. Its a false premise. Inaccurate information. The very same that allowed AIDS to spread like it did.

    Very stupid thing to say.

Uhh, Doug, Greling, excuse me. What/who brought AIDS to this country i.e. brought US the AIDS epidemic? Perhaps you can explain that to me. There are many, many reasons that AIDS has spread throughout Africa, like the cultural refusal to discuss it. But why has it spread in the US? Homosexuality and intravenous drug use. Notice that I didn't cite death statistics for the world. Sorry if the facts offend you. But don't attack the messenger.

Since when did two guys having a little buttsex generate deadly viruses? A miracle of biology, I guess. I mean, guys have been having buttsex off and on for centuries and just magically now a virus appears. Either God gave them the virus or the virus has nothing inherently to do with the kind of sex they have.

I do know that lesbians hardly ever get AIDS and far less often than heterosexuals, so I guess your assertion that "homosexuality" is responsible for AIDS in America is a bit off, James. That's like saying "heterosexuality" is responsible for the rape of little girls, when we both know that 99% of those perpetrators are heterosexual men, men who usually go after their own daughters and nieces.

Gays didn't bring America AIDS. Men did. Most of them white men. Ask Africans. They'll tell you. How did it spread around Africa? Well, I recall a massive polio vaccine taking place about twenty years before AIDS hit globally. A lot of those nurses in Africa were re-using needles.

Who done it? Where it came from, or what color their skin was has nothing to do with the core of the article, that reveals that small children are being subject to information that will shape their lives. It creates the opposite to what Bible thumping, and preaching does. I know that aside from the decades of rape by "preditors" within the Catholic church, and a few isolated cases in Christian churches, the Public and Christian-schools were not teaching anything about "unatural sex".
Do people have the right to do as they choose? YES! DO you think you have the right to teach someone elses children the described acts in these books? From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and writes. I read a dozen of the comments, and find that there are men haters, right wing haters, haters of meat eaters, and Christians. Finally I conclude that we shouldn't put our children or anyones children in a room to watch two guys or gals having sex. It corrupts their minds of innocents.

    Jack,

Native Americans gave us Syphilis. Clearly being Native American should be against the law.

T!t for Tat right?? I guess in Jennings view that would be "T!t for T!t" cause Males have just as much right to have T!ts as females do.

    John Michael,

High five on your comments. Well said. I wouldn't want those kids viewing a guy and gal having sex either as I'm sure you meant as well.

Well I didn't really care what gays do. I didn't even care if they got married. But seeing some of this absolute crap that this freak Jennings thinks kids should see and read makes me want to rethink what I feel about gays. Maybe just maybe I'll become a homophobe.

    F Bowman,

I completely understand you saying," ...maybe I'll become a Homophobe" in response to Jennings and his supporters Gay agenda. But the devil is in the details as they say. make DANG sure the "h" stays in that word and not an "r". Otherwise it would translate to..."maybe I'll become a HomoPROBE". If they hear that you have gays all over you like a cheap suit!
