First some quick premises and reference points. The TEA Party Movement is not one group. There are about 20 major TEA Party / Grassroots groups and 30-50 smaller TEA Party / Grass roots Groups. TEA Party Nation came into existence in about August of 2009. The true TEA Party Movement has been around about a year. True TEA Party and grassroots organizations take direction from the bottom up. TEA Party Nation and other Republican Trojan Horses exert control and direction from the top down.
Per the title of this article, let me reiterate that TEA Party Nation and the convention occurring this weekend are commonly known to be Republican Ruses among true grassroots TEA Partyers. True TEA Partyiers look down on the Republican Trojan Horse Groups with scorn. TEA Party Nation and its convention represent an attempt by the Republican Party to hijack the TEA Party Movement. But the average American does not have to rely on anyone's news story to realize that the TEA Party Nation Convention is not a grassroots organized event. To begin with, we true grassroots TEA Party folks have been rallying, marching, blogging and meeting since about a year ago. We are common folks of modest means. Further, most "true" tea party / grassroots groups have directives and policies which forbid alignment with any political party. Most only express their values and principles as "limited Government", "Adherence to the Constitution and Bill of Rights", "Fiscal Responsibility and "Belief in Free Markets" A recurring theme is that corrupt incumbent politicians of both political parties have betrayed WE THE PEOPLE and caused the mess we find ourselves in.
So, to begin with, I believe the vast majority of my fellow Americans(regardless of political inclination) are intelligent enough to recognize a ruse when they see one. True TEA Partyers being of modest means, most Americans realize that we TEA Partyers would not price ourselves out of our own event. $500 plus dollar tickets to see Sarah Palin, plus lodging at an expensive hotel, plus airfare would price 95% of us out of attendance. Who among us True TEA Partyers would even have the money to reserve such venues and such star power? After all the work and effort we true grassroots TEA Partyers have put in, virtually every American realizes we would make sure we did not allow the event to be dominated by persons who were not representative our our values, principles, circumstances and issues.
In fact, the economic scenario that TEA Party Nation created favors the very politicians and power brokers we true grassroots TEA Partyers blame our country's current mess on. The TEA Party Nation Convention is a bunch of well-healed politicians and power brokers pretending to be grassroots folks. Further, to point out the obvious, Sarah Palin is a Republican. I would suggest she was picked to give the illusion that this this group was a rogue bunch, ready to confront the "status quo" and give the illusion of being grassroots in nature. Is there not one "Thomas Payne" amongst them who could speak eloquently, yet seek no leadership role? All that having been said, the average American can see that the Republican Party (and for that matter, both major political parties) would like to harness the enthusiasm of the TEA Party Movement.
But, lest you think that the TEA Party Movement is dead, you need not despair. Most of us True TEA Partyers ignored this TEA Party Nation Convention. We are not lemmings. We are not astroturf. We are determined individualists. Even in the Republican Trojan horse groups, the top down leadership has run into major obstacles. In short, we true TEA Partyers are giving them fits by ignoring their top down command. In fact, in some of the Republican Trojan Horse groups, the Republican Puppet Leadership has completely lost control.
With that I say to you, the TEA Party Revolution is alive and well... The major media Sycophants will spin the TEA Party Nation Convention to the best of their ability, but it will amount to naught. Further, I assure you the best is yet to come.
For now, Take some time and go to a local TEA Party events. Get to know some true TEA Party folks. I believe you will find you share much in common with them.
The two major political parties want the "status quo" We true partyers recognize the status quo has brought us to the brink of disaster! Hell, no - No more Status Quo! The 2 major political parties emphasize our differences to divide and conquer us. I challenge you to recognize that we average Americans are much more alike that we are different. Let us Liberal and Conservative common TEA Party folks set aside our differences so we can rescue our country from the brink of collapse that the selfish politicians of both parties have brought upon us.
Let us unite, so we can defeat the corrupt, duplicitous career political hacks that have destroyed our economy, weakened our country, stolen from us and sold our prosperity to our foreign enemies.
Or you can listen to the propaganda of the two major political party and continue to be led around by your belief in their lies until they no longer have use for you. How well has that worked out for you recently? But ultimately, it is for you to decide.
WE THE PEOPLE of the true TEA Party Movement have recognized lies, duplicity, propaganda and censorship of our duplicitous career politicians. Can we count on you to place loyalty to your country and constitution over your loyalty to political party?
