Rifqa Bary, the 17-year-old apostate, is safe in Florida until October 27, according to Pamela Geller. Rifqa is the girl from a Muslim family, members of the Noor Mosque in Ohio, who converted to Christianity, which merits death according to Sharia law. She ran away from home to Christian friends in Florida, saying her father had threatened to kill her. Since she is under 18, the state courts have been pulling at her like the disputed baby in Solomon's court.
Ohio Governor Ted Strickland wants her returned to her family. He has been chummy with CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), the Hamas supporter and front organization for all those silent-majority Muslims who are no-commenting on many issues close to their hearts and ours, from 9-11 to honor killngs to Rifqa.
By the way, why "American-Islamic Relations"? This title makes Islam face off with America. Shouldn't "relations" be between equal entities, country to country? Or religion to religion? At least CAIR makes it clear that what we're relating to is a religion, not a nation, which is more than a lot of media writers are willing to admit. Maybe CAIR should have called it Christian-Jewish-American Relations.
