Rally for Rifqa Bary in Columbus on November 16

A rally is scheduled to support Rifqa Bary, the 17-year-old girl who said her life was threatened after she converted from Islam to Christianity. The rally is at the Franklin County Courthouse on November 16 (time to be determined). Rifqa is being held in foster care for the time being but is not allowed access to a computer, or to choose her own lawyer.

Some of those attending the rally are:

  • Simon Deng, an ex-slave from Sudan;
  • Nonie Darwish, executive director of Former Muslims United;
  • James Lafferty, chairman of the Virginia Anti-Sharia Task Force;
  • Joyce Kaufman, talk show radio host;
  • Jamal Jivanjee, apostate, pastor, and Rifqa’s friend;
  • Honor killing victims’ family members who live under the threat of death.
  • Wafa Sultan, former Syrian Muslim and author of The God Who Hates.
