Yes, it does. Stop that laughing, immediately. Just follow some of the suggestions from women who have figured out how to make it work WELL, and you will be ready to tackle the next holiday in the 2009 lineup.
For instance, Anna says:
“All holidays are at our house, with both sides of the family.”
Heather says:
“We split the holiday, half a day with my family and the other half is spent with my in-laws.”
Elizabeth shares:
“Early on in the marriage, we established a flexible guideline that we would alternate each holiday in a year between my parents and my in-laws. Now because my father has moved closer to us, all holidays are spent at my home and we include everyone.”
And, Kerri has made this plan work:
“One year, all the holidays are spent with my parents, the next year, with my in-laws and the third year, at our home.”
This does not have to be a difficult situation. If the plan is discussed well in advance of the implementation, you can sail through each and every holiday with ease.
Happy Easter!
Talk to you soon.
