On January 22, Third District Judge Deno Himonas sentenced Jorge D. Gutierrez-Ortiz to 15 years to life, after the Mexican national, through the help of an interpreter, pleaded guilty to first-degree felony attempted sodomy on a child. The assault occurred last year in Salt Lake County, UT.
On Aug. 15, 2009, Gutierrez-Ortiz, 44, was loitering in the men’s room inside a West Valley City Burger king restaurant. The 7-year-old boy entered the bathroom while his mother was ordering food. When the boy turned to leave the restroom, Gutierrez-Ortiz blocked his path, pulled him into a stall and sexually assaulted him.
Gutierrez-Ortiz then fled the scene, brushing past the boy’s mother as he exited the restaurant.
At sentencing, prosecutor Cristina Ortega told the courtroom that he victim’s mother sensed something was wrong and acted on "a mother's intuition," walked into the restroom to find her son crying.
Video surveillance footage of Gutierrez-Ortiz released to the media prompted several tips, and eventually led police to one of the assailant’s former employers. Detectives arrested him at his house.
The boy's mother told Judge Himona her son is terrified to use the bathroom on his own now, fearing that he will again be attacked.
In an emotional statement, she said: “I want this man to pay for what he's done, so he can never do this to another child.”

How much longer, Washington, are you going to allow these monsters to prey on children? Does it even matter that this story is repeated daily in many cities in the nation? Each day illegal aliens are allowed to remain in this country, you are responsible for the crimes they commit.
If you follow the news and anti-illegal immigration websites you'll read that this type of thing happens ALL THE TIME around the U.S. An inordinate number of illegal alien men, usually reported as from Mexico, seem to have a fetish with young children, boys and girls alike. This is not what we want or need in America. It's high time we put a cold, hard stop to illegal immigration. These people aren't all looking for a "better life", they seem to be looking for fresh, young children to molest. It's nothing but disgusting to the highest possible degree. These pedofiles need to get 50 to life in a designated prison in Mexico.
Stupid is as stupid does, for those Americans with children who don't think that the illegal immigration issue has a thing to do with them. What else can one say. We haven't the slightest idea who comes across the border, and the part of the illegal foreign national, likes it that way. They want as many illegal Democrats as possible.
Illegals are sick creatures, why are the borders open? Let the politicians know you are aware. Share this site with others.
Our country is being invaded, and our elected government refuses to recognize their oaths of office and "defend us from all enemies both foreign and domestic." Call and write your so called representatives and demand that they take action or the American people will take matters into their own hands. I urge any citizens living in border areas to do anything possible to hinder and harass illegal invaders entering our territory.
