Slain BP Agent Rosas
Whether it was illegal immigrants or drug smugglers is not immediately clear. What is certain is Border Agent Robert Wimer Rosas, was killed in the line of duty by unidentified individuals at 9:15 PM on July 23rd while on patrol.
A three-year veteran of the Border Patrol and working out of the Campo/Pine Valley Station here in the high desert of Southern CA, Agent Rosas was reportedly in pursuit of suspected illegal border crossers with two other agents. They were tracking a group within a hundred yards or so of the border when shots rang out. Agents found Rosas mortally wounded with gunshots to the body and head. FBI and DHS are conducting an investigation and have asked all non-essential personnel including citizen border watchers to stay clear of the area.
KPIX in San Francisco is reporting that two men and one woman were arrested in relation to this case in a San Jose Hospital where they were seeking treatment. Reportedly, a blood sample of one of the assailants was found at the scene. Reports that the Agent may have been shot with his own weapon are unconfirmed at this time.
This tragedy underscores the need for a better fence and tighter control over the United States Border with Mexico. It also signals an escalation of the violence on this side of the fence or lack thereof. The area where the agent was killed is still only protected by the decades old ten-foot fence that smugglers and illegal immigrants have been scaling or crawling under since it was installed.
Local residents and citizen border watchers are stricken with grief, many of whom knew and worked with Agent Rosas.
“This is a tragedy and our hearts go out to the Agents family and co-workers. It is a dangerous job made more so by shortages in manpower and a relatively open border despite reports to the contrary. The duty of our elected officials is on the line here, our local, state and federal government needs to step in and secure the borders of this country now. It is a shame on every elected official that they actually let this go so far. Our Border Patrol agents are some of Americas finest and hardest working agents in law enforcement and for this they get treated like second-rate citizens with little if any support from 95% of the politicians. Politicians have taken a sworn oath to protect and serve this country, it is time that they made good on that OATH ” Said Ken Dreger Director of The Homeland Security Policy Institute Group, sponsor of the Border Patrol Auxiliary.
Agent Rosas is survived by a wife and two small children. Flags across the area are flying at half-staff.

It's too bad the media finds it more important to cover hurt feeling between a Black professor and a White sergeant, then the murder of a Border Patrol hero trying to help his country stem the southern border invasion. It's like fighting the tide with a teaspoon. God!
I called the gov this afternoon and asked what they were going to do about the border. The aide told me the gov was concerned about the budget currently. So I then asked if he understood that the illegals were bankrupting CA. The aide said that that the gov thinks the illegals contribute more than they take. I'll have to admit I cursed him out which I normally don't do.

How was this man in anyway a traitor? He is working for his country!!! I'm a Mexican-AMERICAN!!! With that being said, I find inconsistncies in this report. First, how did "Reportedly" blood evidence found at the scene indentify a possible suspect in San Jose without a DNA test? It takes a lot longer to produce DNA tests then it does to verify who's weapon was used in this crime. I find this story misleading and suggestive in tone. If you want to gain my respect, then provide "Facts" not what you want "US" to believe.
Secondly, KPIX CBS5 is NOT reporting ANY blood evidence was found. Chandler Hospital is NOT a trauma center. All KPIX is reporting is a Cell phone "Ping" that led to the arrest of 3 people who may have been related to the killing of Officer Rosas.
Please provide a source to your "Reportedly". It wasn't KPIX, so who was it?
Chandler Hospital was never mentioned. Its not part of the story. It was O'Connor Hospital. The cell phone info was released at 11:56 PM last night. Five hours AFTER this story was written. It is likely that details like this will come out in bits and pieces for days. KPIX was used as a reference by me and too many media outlets to count. Blood evidence was found at the scene and reported again by dozens of media outlets. KPIX reported he was found outside his vehicle. Guess that depends on your definition of "outside". He was nowheres near his vehicle when found. Didn't cite it because it wasn't true even if some big outfit like KPIX reported it.

It's sad that Firefighters in CT, Policemen in MA, and BP agents on the frontlines of America's borders have to fight the system to receive an ounce of justice, respect, appreciation, or assistance. What have we heard from our National LEADERS the last couple of weeks; we have heard that are National Borders are SECURED and there is NO evidence of Mexican violence SPILLOVER into the UNITED STATES!

I don't know for sure Bersin's definition of "SPILLOVER VIOLENCE" but at least the lower valley in Texas seems to have "SPILLOVER VIOLENCE" if not the entire state and I suspect the Border States in the Southwest of the U.S. including California are also experiencing "SPILLOVER VIOLENCE". Maybe Bersin can furnish us with a Number of murders, deaths, rapes, and robberies required to determine when we have crossed the threshold for "SPILLOVER VIOLENCE".
The police of this once great nation used to have the border patrols backs and enforced the immigration laws on those that slipped by.
No longer can they trust the criminals in the government for a hand or the support they need.

When will people wake up and stop being politically correct. They are "ILLEGAL"! What if we were in their country illegal? They have "no" fear of our legal system. When I was young, we were warned about breaking a law in Mexico. We have the laws we need to obide by them.
In ten years, my son (a BP agent) has told me about shootings, mass arrests for slavery, and has lost two friends in the Line of Duty. He was assaulted and left for dead in the desert himself, in his fourth year on the border. So much happens down there that we never here about because the information is played WAY down, or suppressed in total. This isn't a security job at the mall. Its armed warfare!
