Dems make mad dash for the checkout line on immigration, healthcare and climate change

When I was a child growing up in New Jersey, there was a local toy store (the name escapes me) that would run a contest around the holidays where the winners, always children, got ten-minutes to shop for free and put whatever they could grab into their baskets. It was televised and was right up there with Wonderama, Captain Kangaroo and Romper Room. We all fantasized about being those kids in the proverbial toy store, not knowing what to select and a getting a big fat “gimme” at the checkout.

The Democrats are engaged in a toy store fantasy right now as they move swiftly to put whatever crazy, left-wing, looney legislation they can find, into their shopping baskets before the toy store proprietor (us) realizes we made a mistake. Despite minimal public support, record unemployment levels and hard evidence that global warming is a scam, the left are now pushing for healthcare, immigration and climate change legislation. (formerly global warming until the word got out the planet is actually getting colder)

They cannot even get the scorecards straight on their own side. Instead of leading this bunch of charlatans, President Obama is being led by them. He selects Senator Charles Shumer for the immigration initiative only to have Rep. Gutierrez, fresh off his Hispanic caucus thrashing of the President, conclude he has a better idea and moves ahead without Obama and with an amnesty plan sure to please the La Raza crowd and infuriate nearly everyone else.

Climategate? Well let’s not allow a 1,000 or so emails implicating wide-scale climate change fraud get in the way of a deeply entrenched lefty scam. There is too much money riding on this thing now to let it fail because of something silly like the truth after all.

On Christmas Eve at 8:00 in the morning, (even Harry Reid’s own team, reportedly balked at the 1AM scheduled vote) the Democrats will put forth voting on a massive healthcare bill that nobody but them wants. Why the rush? Reid knows if his Senators have to go home to their Districts for the Holidays and the constituent beat-down they are sure to receive, the 60-vote margin necessary for passage will never hold up. He has to get their votes in cement now or forever hold his ...

For the next nine-months you will find Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Durbin and all of their wild, crazy, cronies lurking in the shadows, trying desperately to get as many bills passed as they can before the American public sends them packing next November. Then we’ll start the process of dismantling the carnage their toy store frenzy has created. The constitutional challenges are already well underway. We do have time to fix this even though the Dem's are trying to slide an unconstitutional changes clause under the wire. Real healthcare reform won't occur until 2014 in this bill but the taxes to pay for it start in 2010.

With votes in the dark of night, bills that no one gets to read before passing and sweetheart deals to hardball playing politicians, the democrats are indeed setting records as the most corrupt bunch of lunatics ever to run the asylum. Or are they?

I am reminded of another Christmas Eve debacle nearly 100 years ago, when a majority Democrat Congress (63rd) met in the dark of night to pass legislation they couldn’t get approved in the bright light of day. The original “progressive” and one of  President Obama's political hero's and fellow Nobel Peace Prize recipients, Woodrow Wilson, led the initiative. Today we have the Federal Reserve to thank for those efforts, another brilliant move by globalist/socialist moneychangers intent on ruling the world. Time may pass but the overarching goals are still the same. Control. Control. Control. What is that old expression about history repeating itself?

We have already dealt with the British Antarctic Survey’s implausible finding as to the imagined – and probably imaginary – loss of ice from the West Antarctic ice sheet. There is certainly no basis in science for the proposition that after 15 years without statistically-significant “global warming” the planet is now approaching a dangerous “tipping-point”, as Dr. Glikson is here implying. In fact, it was proven by Edward Lorenz in 1963 that we can never predict the onset, timing, duration, extent, or magnitude of any phase-transition or bifurcation in the evolution of the mathematically-chaotic climate object.

We conclude that Dr. Glikson’s note is inaccurate, misleading, and relentless prejudiced in one direction only – inventing a problem where there is none, and then magnifying it. That is not science: it is politics. Full story at: www.infowars.com/climate-change-questions/

Gutierrez's amnesty bill is so extreme - even by open-borders lobby standards -- it's not going very far. But Charles Schumer is working on his mass amnesty scheme quietly behind the scenes with Lindsey Graham. While this scheme will seem more "moderate" than Gutierrez's (and the lazy MSM will call it "moderate"), it will still be the same old "amnesty now" with hollow promises of future enforcement (like the failed 1986 IRCA).

So I hope Mr. Braun and others get ready to spread the word and vigorously oppose Schumer's mass amnesty scheme when he starts peddling it next month.

Millions of Americans do not know that in this so called health bill there is a fine up to $250.000 and or a jail term waiting for those who either will not or cannot pay for this health care.
Does that look like our government is worried about our health ? No, this bill is not about health care, it is about more government control over Americans. And it will get worse if we let this bill pass. Once they figure they got away with this one, watch how they will take over more control of our lives.

Americans have a habit of losing focus. Like the African rhino, in the middle of an angry charge we tend to lose sight of what it was that made us angry in the first place, and then we simply go back to grazing. Pray that we remember this time. Pray for honest, articulate leaders who can remind us of what our country stands for. Let us have no more elected representatives who dismiss questions of Constitutionality. And please, everybody, re-familiarize yourself with the Founding documents. We must recover not only our country but the education of the young.

I hope immigration reform passes-I am a USC and cannot adjust my husband's status. I have been e-mailing my senator and congress representative every day. I know what you guys will say he entered illegaly he should not adjust blah blah blah well I don't give a sh** he pays taxes and has ss withdrawn out of all his checks and has no criminal record. I will not give up pressing for immigration reform till it happens it will help me and my family.

Response to Cecilia: Well, we actually do give a SH**. It is sad that you married someone who actually broke the law knowingly. Maybe it says vast amounts of the actual respect we have to laws today in society? Anyway, I suspect the next SCAM will be called "Border Gate" Catchy name, but all the amnesty programs really smell of high level corruption.

Carl, the current congress meeting "in the dark of night" is mere rhetoric to the stealth act of the 63 congress. Today, nothing is secrete. Yet congress today acts with impunity in open and notorious defiance of overwhelming public disapproval. While the voices of those who protest have impact, until public disapproval is expressed by way of personal action, calling, writing, emailing, visiting our "representatives" on a more massive scale, little will change. NumbersUSA for example, with a membership near one million, is a fraction of the adult population, and only a fraction of that membership is truly engaged. Industrialist Henry Kaiser said, "bring me the bad news, good news weakens me"; as I shared with you years ago, short of a change in strategy that aligns splintered, like-minded groups against insane "change", overcoming the better organized progressive coalitions like ACORN/SEIU/ETC., being funded w/ government money, will be increasingly difficult to beat back.

    To Cecelia,
If your husband is an illegal alien how is he having Social Security withdrawn from his checks? Did he steal someone's SSN (which illegals often do)? So in addition to sneaking into our country or overstaying a visa (misdemeanor), if has been deported and snuck back in (felony), enagaging in identity theft, use of stolen SSN (felony), what other crimes has he committed in addition to stealing a job from an American or legal immigrant?

If he has "no criminal record" as you say, it means he hasn't been caught yet because our immigration laws are unenforced.

This is one big reason the vast majority of Americans oppose and will not accept amnesty -- for as the 1986 amnesty proved, rewarding lawbreaking just encourages more if it.

While maybe slightly off topic, Obama demonstrates how talk is cheap; abandoning the White House, and a traditional white Christmas for a lavish multi-million dollar green, family and friends, Hawaii vacation, while discarding any thought of the community, people and families, whose Christmas vacation will be spent in a homeless shelter or on the streets. I guess the White House is simply not good enough for him, his family or close friend. Instead he abandons it, leaving it empty, preferring the excess of a green xmas in Hawaii. Is this the kind of redistributive change he wants us ordinary Americans to believe in? Talking the talk is not enough for the leader of the free world who would redistribute the wealth of everyone else while throwing one party after another in the White House and traveling the globe on yet another jetsetting, carbon spewing adventure !

All you white-haired old men need to go back to Europe where you came from and give the country back to the natives - Native Americans and Mexicans (Yes, Mexicans populated California BEFORE Europeans. Check your history books, hypocrites). I am a white guy just like you people, but unlike you people, I have the ability to look at this country from a logical perspective. All this talk about "my country" makes me sick. No one realizes that they are only here because their ancestors IMMIGRATED here against the will of the natives. So, we can steal other people's land and it's FINE but if anyone else wants to come here, that is OUTRAGEOUS. Why don't you all wake up and start being considerate human beings?

Stop the global warming fraud and deport all illegals. This is an established nation with laws. What happened long ago dies not matter. Mexico signed off on the agreement. Sorry for native Americans, for which I am one, But this is a country now and the laws are being broken. Deport illegals and bill the countries they are from. Mexico owes the American people a lot of money for the cost of illegals. Also investigate the fraud involved in the illegal alien invasion. Who are the politicians that are on the take? The unemployed can be used to round up and deport the illegals and send the bills to the countries involved . You see, easy solutions. Together we can make a better world. We can also build walls to keep illegals out. We can stop the exploitation of illegals by deporting them. Join your fellow Americans and demand the deportation of all illegals. Merry Christmas
