Sen. Herb Kohl recently wrote that we must "reconsecrate ourselves to the task of promoting and enduring an enduring peace so that their (veterans) efforts shall not have been in vain."
My response to Kohl's bogus concern for veterans is simple: Don't do us any favors.
Kohl is a hypocrite because he thinks putting WWII veterans on a plane to Washington D.C. to visit their war memorial is thanks enough for their service. You don't "honor" veterans by working to undermine the very principles and values for which they sacrificed so much, including their lives, by working with other members of Congress to reward people who entered this country illegally.
We saw another example of just how much these politicians really care about our men and women in uniform when the House passed Nov. 7 a health care bill that contains no verification procedures that would bar illegals from using the program. Dancing to the music of Congressional Hispanic Caucus and standing shoulder to shoulder with their illegal "constituents" were Wisconsin Reps. David Obey, Tammy Baldwin, Ron Kind, Gwen Moore and Steve Kagen.
No doubt all these "lawmakers" who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution will find ways to stand before TV cameras or issue statements on Veterans Day and solemnly vow never to forget those who fought to protect the rule of law they and their ilk eagerly manipulate whenever it suits their purposes.

We have free stuff for illegals but can't take care of our former pawns? Why you would think the world is run by purely evil MoneyPowers! Oh that's right...it is....
