The president will soon address the nation hopefully, clearly explaining exactly what he would like to see in Obama health care legislation. Hopefully he will have read the Democrats H.R. 3200 and know exactly what is in the proposal this time rather than accusing America-firsters of spreading “misinformation” about illegal immigrants receiving health care benefits.

As most of you know by now, the Congressional Research Service admitted the popular Democratic proposal could provide health care to illegal aliens. Section 242(a)(2) of the bill suggests that if one member of a family is legally eligible—say an anchor baby—every family member will be considered eligible.

“Under H.R. 3200, a ‘Health Insurance Exchange’ would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange,” says Treatment of Noncitizens in H.R. 3200, the CRS report.

Republicans claimed to have pushed for verification mechanisms to insure illegal aliens are not given more free care on the citizen’s dime. Hospital emergency rooms are already used for doctor visits thus clogging actual emergencies in many hospitals. (See the You Tube feed above for more.)

“If President Obama is committed to ensuring that illegal immigrants do not benefit from the bill–as he says he is–why not include the same verification mechanisms in this bill as already exist for other federal benefits programs?” Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas.) asked in response to the president’s radio address.

“What’s more, the bill contains no provisions preventing illegal immigrants from participating in the Health Insurance Exchange that is to be created, including the government-run ‘public plan’ that will be available through the federally run and federally subsidized Exchange. This is in direct conflict with the president’s claim that illegal immigrants will not be insured under his plan.”

Smith requested the report from CRS, Congress’ personal research team.Sen. Olympia Snowe (R- Maine) is floating a compromise whereby individuals would have to buy insurance off a federal exchange, with tax credits to help people afford it. If that failed to lower insurance prices and to expand coverage to 95 percent of a state’s population within a certain time, the plan would add a government insurance option to that state’s choices.Would that population be based on the federal census Latino groups are encouraging members to duck? Would it based on U.S. citizens only?

In closing, the Coalition for Immigrant Equity in HealthCare has issued a preamble of what the Democrats law should look like. It is loaded with terms like “any one,” “all people,” “all workers,” “every individual,” but no mention of Americans or U.S citizens. In fact, it reads more like an internationalist, socialist doctrine or new Communist Manifesto, rather than a U.S. proposal.

No way Jose. We do not need socialized medicine. We already have the inefficient and fraud-ridden Medicaid and Medicare that have put us trillions upon trillions in debt. We need tort reform and other minor changes. We also need to enforce all current immigration laws. Enough is enough.

Not a dime for non-citizens. Any emergency care must be tied to immigration vetting. Not a citizen?, you get care and the bill. Then you are either deported or imprisoned for stealing public funds.
    No mas.

The U.S. is out of money. We are broke. Yet at the worst point in at least 30 years for our economy, Obama and the Democrats wish to pass a 9 trillion-dollar healthcare plan, just so roughly 8 million Americans and 20+ million illegal aliens can have some insurance. And to boot, they want a Cap-and-Trade (Cap & Con & Tax) plan that will cripple business, decimate jobs, and add $1500-$3000 per year in extra energy costs to the average American family.

Costs of private insurance need to be lowered—that’s it and it can be done. And Cap and Trade will NOT heal the environment. The bills in question — health care reform and cap-and-trade — are both elitist policies that essentially puts Washington in charge of decisions that people should make on their own.

This is why the voices calling for a complete change in Congress, from top to bottom, are growing. Let’s hope that our stunning display of will and determination at recent town hall meetings has at least riveted their attention.

Am Patriot says Health Care reform are elitist policies etc. He/She says nothing of the elitist Health Care Execs (top ten) making average of $10 Million per year per exec. Partisan hyperbole won't work for anyone who loves facts. Another one for you: Change did happen and it's here and it's here to stay. Recent Town Hall Meetings with a squad of birthers - deathers - yellers and otherwise uninformed individuals (who have been lied to about health care) will continue to make good TV. The march on Washington led by Histrionic Hysterical Glenn Beck will make news also. They did the same thing when progressives were trying to pass Social Security and when passing anti-discrimination. The Stalins and Hitlers didn't didn't want to insure it's citizens they wanted to bury the poor.

Nova Mom Did you think by saying nonsense you will make it true? Tort reform yes We will get it thanks to this brilliant and good President. Minor changes is all we need? On which planet do you li
