Arkansas Tea Party and Liberal Protest

The Arkansas Tea Parties for Central Arkansas went well today. Several organizations participated in the events. The meeting at the State Capitol had over 2,000 people attending and had most media outlets covering it. KeepArkansasLegal members attended and handed out information about illegal immigration. We also had an anti-amnesty banner. Attached to this is a slideshow from both Tea Parties. Here are some news links below along with a description of how they covered the event:

http://arkansasmatters.com/content/fulltext/?cid=211612  KARK 4-Kept partisanship as the main subject by claiming most of the people were Republican and of course the loaded Obama question. Also gave coverage to the half-dozen pro-taxes protest at the Little Rock mail office. We do need to remember Snyder's comments that he supports the Obama spending plan for 2010.

http://www.todaysthv.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=83447&catid=2 KTHV11-Best coverage from local TV. Several different people were interviewed and filmed. Only needed to mention that over 1,000 attended.

On the same link, there's 3 photos of the Tea Party at the Capitol. Don't know why fox16 won't update the story or include video.

While conservatives peacefully demanded an end to the wasting of trillions of tax dollars, leftist would not allow  former Congressman Tom Tancredo to speak about illegal immigration. Here's the email I got about that:

Friends of ALIPAC,

Illegal alien supporters resorted to violence tonight at the Tom Tancredo event at UNC Chapel Hill. Please view and distribute these videos and reports.

Video 1: My arrival in the hallway. I started filming right after police had to tackle and spray protesters. I left the video recording in the latter part of this video to document my verbal exchanges with protesters inside the room.

Video 2: We calmed the protesters then they got rowdy with a sign and someone smashed out the window spraying glass on a girl

What I don't get - 16 had a sold crew present, including an on-camera personality that wandered with a microphone who actually interviewed the gentleman on the steps who hat the sign that read "I didn't fight (WWII) for socialism".

    Something smells with that.

And I too estimated the crowd at approximately 2000. But we all know, the media always underestimates conservative attendance, and always considerably boosts liberal event numbers.

After watching the KARK video, I am disgusted. As you wrote - they tried to make it a partisan event, despite every person speaking was non-partisan.

And how many of those "pro-tax" protesters at the LR post office (how many where there - 20-30?) actually PAY ANY income taxes in the first place? They looked mostly like ACORN recruits calling for tax fairness... hello. Is it more fair that many carrying those signs pay no federal tax, and even are net TAKERS at tax time, or that the harder you work, the more jobs you create, the more successful you are, the bigger bite government takes from you to give to these leeches?

    What is fairness?
