This last Thursday morning, Huntington looked like a major city. Huntington PD in conjuction with Huntington County Sherrif's Department, Indiana State police and officers from surrounding communities, moved across the community in Operation Cocktail Party. They hit home after home in an operation that would make the DEA proud.
They served 28 of 31 warrants for 3 levels of controlled substances. Along with the illicit drugs were prescriptions and firearms.
On Saturday, the 29th suspect was arrested in Noble county. This is the largest such sweep in Huntington County's history for the war on drugs.
This arrest swells the already, at capacity jail.

Based on the unalterable proviso that drug use is essentially an unstoppable and ongoing human behavior which has been with us since the dawn of time, any serious reading on the subject of past attempts at any form of drug prohibition would point most normal thinking people in the direction of sensible regulation. By its very nature prohibition cannot fail but create a vast increase in criminal activity, and rather than preventing society from descending into anarchy, it actually fosters an anarchic business model - the international Drug Trade. Any decisions concerning quality, quantity, distribution and availability are then left in the hands of unregulated, anonymous, ruthless drug dealers, who are interested only in the huge profits involved.
Denver and erik:
cigarettes and alcohol are not illegal. Those "dangerous marijuana users" sold prescription drugs. They also steal, rob and commit crimes against people to obtain prescription drugs to feed their habits and for money.
since marajuana is illegal, ALL pot smokers are CRIMINALS. period!
dude thats my old hometown!!!! i know a dude in that video lmao!
