Recently the media has started to claim racism or hate in the fact that many Americans have decided to bring firearms to “Town Hall” meetings or places where the president is to speak even though it is perfectly legal to do so.

This video shows the rest of the video of the SAME person that was in the MSNBC video, but the MSNBC video didn’t want to show the race of the man with the rifle.
Aside from all the usual technical errors of the reporting and what the firearms are and aren’t let’s discuss the politics behind some gun control laws.
Let’s go all the way back to 1751
“the French Black Code required Louisiana colonists to stop any blacks, and if necessary, beat "any black carrying any potential weapon, such as a cane." If a black refused to stop on demand, and was on horseback, the colonist was authorized to "shoot to kill." [1] Slave possession of firearms was a necessity at times in a frontier society, yet laws continued to be passed in an attempt to prohibit slaves or free blacks from possessing firearms, except under very restrictively controlled conditions. Then in more recent times,
“1941, Florida Supreme Court Justice Rivers H. Buford (1878-1959), ruling about the state’s gun-control laws (Watson v. Stone, 4 So. 2nd 703), stated, “The original Act of 1893 was passed when there was a great influx of Negro laborers into the state... The Act was passed for the purpose of disarming the Negro laborers... OK, so we have established that it was clearly a racist issue then (gun control), even the early taxes put in place by the ATF were considered Jim Crow style laws, at the time a $200 tax on a “muffler” (referred to as a silencer today) was an act to keep them out of the hands of those that couldn't’t afford them, as was the $200 tax on machine guns or short barreled shotguns. A lot of those laws can be construed to be Jim Crow laws and policies.
Much of that has been either repealed or the policies simply do not have the same merit today as they did then, the $200 taxes still stand for machine guns and silencers but $200 today is a lot less than it was back in the early years.
Now we have politicians again attempting to create more laws to further prohibit ownership of firearms….why is that?
And why would MSNBC show a video of a man lawfully carrying a firearm, and purposely conceal his race, then call this a “racist issue”?

funny...i cannot find any evidence, ever, of the NRA or any of the white-dominated gun groups, or whites period, coming to the defense of the Black Panthers when they carried guns around, perfectly legally. Nor do I suspect any of them would have been upset had Panther members been hauled away after showing up to rallies for Nixon in 68 or 72 with guns. There is no way that the white folks who now rally around gun possession and think it is perfectly OK to bring them to Presidential events, would feel that way about organized militant blacks, or let's say, Arab-American Muslims, coming to a rally when W was president.

With our countries first half white president. And the many years of discrimination cases against whites. I think in the near future we are going to start hearing of numerous reverse discrimination charges. "We prefer half white over half black." Being that is never brought up on any of his appearances.
So what you, tim and Edward are saying is you have NO problem with MSNBC editing out the color of the gentleman and claiming its a racist issue?
This article has nothing to do with NRA, it has to do with the media showing what they want to to further their agenda, and in this case its race and guns, And I call BS.
Also if you note, as a side, these people aren't militant, in case you haven't noticed. The man in the video and the majority of people at these have been very well spoken and acting the way they should be, acting militant does little to help a cause at these type of events, all it usually ends up doing is making the demonstrators look like whackos.
I only have one news station programmed into my satellite dish. And that is Fox News. The only news station that tells the truth. It tells you the news you NEED to hear, not what the Obama Admin WANTS you to hear. Spend an evening watching Glenn Beck and the others on Fox News and you will see what we are talking about. One only hope we have for this country is that Obama will be a one term president!!!
OK, I'll say it, Fox news is not all it is cracked up to be. It is in fact, another biased outlet, leaning more towards the right than the left, but still bias. I personally do not think, today, race has any part of the descision in whether or not you are capable of self reliance. The racism factor is always going to be an issue to those who think they have to play that card to get attetion. Mr. Obama uses it to his advantage. Those of us that don't think like that, observe HIM as racist. Along with others like him. Todays society is always jabbering on about racial equality, all this does is keep the race card in play. If you are a LEGAL American citizen that is moral in evey sense of the word, then by all means, lay claim to your inherent rights. Stand up for what you beleive in. Let no one stand in your way. If you are fronted by opposition, set them straight. Make no appologies for your stance. Let it be known that you are right and teach the CORRECT meaning of the Constitution.

You guys should have learned a lesson from the disasters that are happening in other countries. Some want peace yet they have none. Civilians don’t want war, yet it’s inevitable. People got burned alive for having different religion. You guys are so fortunate yet so foolish. I’m talking about the ones who tried their “best” to create hatred and anger by means of faking the truth. Try to be happy and get along with your fellow Americans and be grateful with what you have right now. Each one, no matter what color you are, forms a part of America. Not one race is better than the other. Each contributes differently. What if your country really faces a physical war among yourselves tomorrow, are you going to be happy that your intentions have become a reality? Would you pat yourselves on your shoulders and say, “Hooray, we’ve done a great job for mankind and for America” ? Or would you be afraid to go out your door, afraid that someone of the other skin color is going to hurt you? Think!
