Washington state will be free from holiday religion. All holiday displays inside the Capitol are now prohibited. The only exception will be a government sponsored holiday tree.
The nativity crèche and the menorah are no longer welcome inside the Washington state Capitol. This is good news for Washington and America. It is a healthy response to a Christian majority that can be insensitive and intolerant towards those that fail to share their superstitious delusions.
The ban will apply to all buildings and four parks managed by the general administration on the Capitol campus.
The new rules -- set to take effect Dec. 1 -- came after repeated protests from The Freedom From Religion Foundation, a Washington based group dedicated to preserving the founding fathers commitment to a wall of separation between church and state.
In recent years, Christian revisionists have been attempting to rewrite history and the US Constitution, an attempt to force their religious preferences on the general public. Washington state is doing the right thing by pushing back against obnoxious Christians who insist that everyone observe their silly superstitions.
There is no reason for religious symbols in public buildings; religious symbols absolutely do not belong in any government buildings. Religious symbols belong in church, or in the home.

I think Bill O'Reilly deserves the credit for making this a national issue. The FFRF simply put up a display while Bill O'Reilly did several TV rants encouraging people phone, write and email the Washington Governor and inciting more protest. Bill effectively shut down Washington State's communications to its varying department with his "War on Christmas" rants. Give credit where credit is due.
"Washington state is doing the right thing..." What is right? Who decides what is right? That is a values/morality statement similar to those made by the "obnoxious Christians" you reference in your rant.
Dude- what are you smoking? You mention Christians being insensitive and then you call their most deeply cherished beliefs delusions and silly superstitions. I hope you go back and look at your definition of insensitive.
