The U.S. Episcopal Church has ordained its first lesbian bishop. The Reverand Canon Mary Glasspool is now the second openly gay bishop in the US Episcopal Church. The appointment comes seven years after Gene Robinson, an openly gay man, was ordained as bishop.

Reverend Glasspool (55) is the 17th woman to be elected a bishop in the Episcopal Church, according to the church's website.

Glasspool was installed at Long Beach Arena before 3,000 people. Yet the ordination is not without controversy and critics. While the crowd at Long Beach was overwhelmingly supportive, a man and a young boy were escorted out for shouting anti-homosexual slogans.

The Anglican rift over homosexual clergy is a deep and raw wound in the church. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, called the move regrettable and warned that it called into question the place of the US Episcopalian Church in the global Anglican Communion.

In 2004, Anglican leaders asked the Episcopal Church for a moratorium on electing another gay bishop while they tried to prevent a permanent break in the fellowship. But last year, the Episcopal General Convention affirmed that gay and lesbian priests were eligible to become bishops. "We are being the church we say we are," Glasspool said. "We're not just saying it, we're doing it and there's something very powerful about that."

Here in Oregon an Anglican parish split from its Episcopal congregation in Northeast Portland over issues like the acceptance and ordination of homosexuals.

People who think the homosexual agenda is only about human rights have not looked beyond the veneer. The hidden agenda is the eradication of the entire Judeo-Christian tradition, and the nuclear family. If you don't believe it, consider this source:

    cwfa.org/articles/14696/CFI/family/index.htm

Research confirms the "lifestyle" is entirely unhealthy, physically, psychologically and emotionally, begging the question: why would anyone promote it, if they really cared about others?

And given the clear prohibitions in Scripture, it is beyond illogical for a pastor to affirm it. How does one claim Christianity at the same time denying Scripture? It makes no sense.

It is as unthinkable as having a President who denies the Constitution.

    Welcome to Wonderland.

So against the express statements from a majority of the Primates (head Bishops) of the Worldwide Anglican Communion (WAC), The Episcopal Church USA (TEC) has gone ahead and further ripped apart our Anglican Communion!
It is now only a matter of time until TEC is official removed from the WAC. May God have mercy on TEC!

You have to ask yourself, if you are wise, why do homosexuals have a particular interest in infiltrating the Christian church? Their assaults have been relentless for decades. They have caused deep divisions and chronic conflict. It is all intentional of course. If you can homosexualize the church, the rest of the culture will crumble as well. One would think people might eventually wake up and realize the misery being spread by these activists, and take an active stand against them, which is certainly the right of Christians holding to historic moral standards. Make no mistake: it is a war. And the more the radicals push it, the more likely it will break out into something very ugly. Christians have tried to be understanding and tolerant, but the patience of many is being pushed to the limit. Our best weapon is prayer and evangelism, for the best outcome for homosexuals is repentance and deliverance. Real love will not settle for less.

God will not be mocked. There remains a terrible judgment for those who thumb their nose at the living God. All we can do is warn them, and plead with them, for their own sake.

While I am not a believer, I am proud of the US Episcopal church for doing the right thing.
Anyone familiar with the gospel knows that Jesus never condemns homosexuality. Christ would have only scorn and disdain for those who hide their hatred and bigotry behind their religion.

"You have to ask yourself, if you are wise, why do homosexuals have a particular interest in infiltrating the Christian church?"

Probably because for some fool reason they still believe in that religion, despite how horrendously other people in that religion treat them.

The secularists and atheists are all cheering this. Of course, they won't be darkening an Episcopal door. In fact, they would love to have all Christian churches disappear. Isn't it great that the Episcopalians are doing the secularists bidding!!!

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. There are people that are not to be among the people of God. Why would any church put a lover of the flesh and hater of God as a leader of the church. This is truly the work of satan and his followers.
